An interview with the eyewitness indicates that as the protest march was proceeding forward the police in large number kept on closing all streets so that the protesters would not be able to run back. Then as they came against the police barrier, police started firing the live bullets. Also at that place, son of the BJP party’s MLA is said to be directing the police firing .

Veer ji that singh who came and stood in the front of the police is not Saheed Dharshan Singh ji. This is a youth Singh, in full chardikala and with maharaj ji di kirpa nal, went and stood front of AK-47's, vaheguru vaheguuru vaheguru.

He was telling the police "Why are u guys shooting in the air and on floor, If u want to shoot, shoot here on my chest". You can see his hand expression in the video, he is pointing his finger to his chest.

I think this Singh is in critical condition, because u can also see that police were also beating him with Soti, with even knowing that he got a shot.

This Sathkaarjog Singh came in the first Jatha from Gurdwara Parmeshar Dwar Saahib (Sant Dhadrianwale), the same Jatha in which Shaheed Bhai Darshan Singh came to fight for the Khalsa Panth, and is now recovering well with Maharaaj Jee's Kirpa. His condition was very critical as not only was he shot, but also sustained serious injuries from the Police, even when he was unconscious. A full recovery will take time, but he is one of the last left in hospital and should be discharged in the near future if all goes well.
