WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKEFATEH.

In Gurbani and other Sikh scriptures the words" Apna and Prayha" are used to describe sexual conduct and sexual misconduct. The word "Apna" means "one's own",and conversley, the word "Prayha"means "other than one's own". Sexual conduct or desires with prayha are totally frowned upon in Gurbani. Since pre-marital sex would be with a prayha, hence it is not acceptable. In the same way extra-marital sex would be with a prayha too.

We have a story of Bhai Joga Singh who almost fell into pre-marital temptation. Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharajh formed the roop of a pehradaar(guard) and persuaded Joga Singh to refrain from such activity.
