In a Amritdhari Anadkaraj u can say its much more simpler than the average punjabi wedding, which means

amrit dhari weddings focus on the anand karaj and not on the reception,,

If the couple is amritdhari most ppl dont have a reception they have a kirtan in the evening on the day of the wedding ,,

sum have a dinner type thing the next day like a family function,,

the bride wont have jewelery or maek-up overdose, but a fancy suit or simple chola

so if u cut out all the hindi traditions_wearing red langa, wearing chooreea (red braclets), bindi, other random cultural stuff

u get a pure Sikh Wedding

I havent seen amritdarees doing the maiya ceremony putting basan stuff on the couple face which is basically a desi facial and no lady sangeets and bhangra shangra and no dayn layn, like giving everyone suits and giving the bride a ton of gold soo Pure Sikh Wedding is the way to go, Pure money save!

And yes you don't understand the shabad, which you present the link too. Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is not lifeless or an idol. Satguru is living. Can't you see the shabad now, can't you hear the shabad, can you feel the shabad, can't you taste the shabad.

Also by your thinking, in which you want to misintrepret the shabad then you should not walk on grass, don't you know the grass is alive, it feels, it breathes and the ants and bugs that are living on the grass are being killed by your shoe. Don't you know there is life in that grass. You are a BUTCHER, but you call yourself a brahmin, holiest of all?

Maybe the best people to ask would be the people who have done a Sikh wedding like those in th epic and find out what they thought went well, what they would change next time etc.

I personally understand that its supposed to be a simple affair focussing on real meanings rather than the superficial display of gold, clothes (that you will never wear again), lots of guests (half who you don't know) etc.

So a sikh wedding would be the opposite - ie a gathering of satsangat, close family and friends done in simple manner focussing more on Guru and Bani.
