Our third annual festival celebrating the inauguration of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. A major event attracting over twenty thousand people over three days from across the world. Three days of Kirtan Akahnd Paaths and Katha a truly momentous moment held in huge outdoor marquees. Three days of family fun and other community activities. Final Poster for the event has been uploaded to sikhroots. This will be the only khulla-pandaar smagam this year in the United Kingdom as it seems EMCG will not be doing one in Loughborough this year. So please do try and attend and spread the word.

The programme has been expand to incorporate the 300 years celebration of Baba Banda Singh Bhadhur's victory over Sirhind and the punishment of the Governor of Sirhind who executed Guru Gobind Singh Ji's two youngest sons, Bhai Zorawar Singh Ji and Bhai Fateh Singh Ji.

The support of the programme has expanded and we encourage all the Sangat to attend wholeheartedly and actively participate in the celebrations.

man the programme looks real downhill this year..2bh i wont even bother going this year with such a poor list of kirtanees. manpreet singh, davinder singh , harjinder singh,amandeep singh are all 'commercial' filmly shilmy wale man. last year we had amrik singh zakhmi, niranjan singh and so on.. WHERES THE KATHA VAACHIKS THIS YEAR??? last few years weve had giani thakur singh, giani hardeep singh , sant ranjit singh ect doing some proper katha. this year doesnt look that interesting...

Very disappointing comment.

You say you won't bother going and its "downhill" and not "interesting"... but I have been to keertan divaans in my life where there havent been the "famous" keertani or kathakaars that you list, yet thanks to the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Saadh Sangat, the events have been brilliant and so spiritually atmospheric. Np one is forcing you to go the programme. If you have comments or criticism, email or call up the sevadars Bhai. You can get presence of Guru Maharaj and sangat at your local Gurdwara, so go there. You have a choice!!

Last year was just amazing, but last year was also different. Laws etc in the UK have changed quite a bit and its harder to bring over parchaaraks from India and even harder for them to actually get Visas. Even Sant Anoop Singh had to do without his full jatha because of visas.

You should be thankful that we have a Parkash programme at all rather whinging about it. Ask those in the rest of Europe, the Americas, Australia how often they have such programmes. UK sangat are spoilt with such great sevadars and organisations organising programmes but so damn ungrateful... it's unbelievable.
