because of ufc and pride through competition we got to see what martial art worked now a days and which one didn't compared to other martial arts, martial arts like kung fu tae kwan do ninjitsu all failed in the 90's compared to wrestling muay thia ji jitsu and judo, and same thing would happen to shastar vidkhiya

unless you can show me were shastar vidkhiya has worked in competitions, then everything your saying is just talk, why don't you ask some shastar vidkhiya students prove its ability in a amature mma tournment if you believe in it so strongly

over 200 years ago sikhs would start teaching their children at ages 4-5 about warfare and how to fight war's, their son's and daughters

honestly its one of the reasons i believe all sikh parants should put their children into mma, and make sure they don't put them in martial arts studios that our a waste of time and money, but put them into mma in a good mma gym so they can train in ji jitsu wrestling boxing muay thia judo

they'll build character(95% of sikhs lack character cause the punjabi culture has replaced character with ego hence why so many ppl in our community's our fakes) training in mma and morals and confidence and leadership skills and how to set goals(and setting goals is a skill hence why so many ppl fail when it comes to setting goals and learning this at a young age has many benifits as they grow up) and learn to work as a team and the skills they learn from working as a team will benifit them when they give back to the community

rather then wanting to grow up being gangster wannabe's who need 10 guys behind them to fight 1 guy and then run away if someone wants to fight them 1 on 1 or run for their lives cause their friends getting jumped

kids put into mma at a young age willl bring tons of benifits to the sikh community

Is your responce based upon actual training in Krav Maga or is it based upon what you have heard?

Do you know that KM also has a hand to hand fighting system and is not just based upon weapons? You state that KM hand to hand wont last long in the ring, does this mean that KM is only effective when the practioner has a gun in their hand?

How can a art which deals with weapons be useless unarmed? If you have any experience with weapons arts you will know that weapons is a higher skill, if they can deal with knifes, sticks, batons, machetes and guns, surely punching and kicking is eassier to cope with?

The real answer is that arts such as KV, Kali, Silat, SV, Bujinkan etc are killing arts, every technique they use is with the intent to seriously hurt and maim their opponent. MMA is a sport, with rules and regulations, these styles do not fit into the cage so to say that to prove themselves they must come into your arena is ridiculous.

Like ive mentioned before, if you feel that MMA will "wipe the floor" with traditional combat arts, and you feel that Shastarvidiya is outdated, then whenever you are in the UK you are more than welcome to come to the akhara and put your money where your mouth is.

jst by your comments from this whole thread i can tell you don't have much knowledge on martial arts and competition, especially with your comment that in shastar vidiya schools you guys fight with kara, cause that is a lie and pretty funny if anyone would believe that, dude our you making up 90% of the stuff cause honestly i don't think you even know what your talking about, lol especially with the comment that you guys box with kara in your hands, i know thats bs

secondly i never said krav mega never had hand to hand combat in their system, they do have hand to hand combat in their system but once again like i said in my post it emphisis on dealing with weapons more, were as mma deals with hand to hand combat

thirdly you don't even know anything about mma or ufc for you to ask why ufc doesn't allow weapons in, a 7 year old knows the answer to that question but you didn't, once again ufc was created to see what martial arts worked and what didn't and we got to see this in pride fighting as well in the 90's, ufc had very little rules and pride had even less rules in the 90's, in pride you were allowed to stomp on the guys head, but in the 90's we got to see all these martial artist from kung fu backgrounds ninjitsu backgrounds and all these other martial artists get their asses kicked and humilated by muay thai fighters wrestlers judo artists ji jitsu fighters, hence why today mma consists of ji jitsu muay thai boxing wrestling judo

JUST ANSWER THIS QUESTION, WHY DID GUYS FROM MMA BACKGROUNDS KILL EVERY OTHER GUY FROM THESE OTHER TRADITIONAL MARTIAL ARTS

shastar vidya worked in india in the 1700's and worked for the rajputs for a thousand years, but it won't work today, sorry to say it, for hand to hand your wasting your time if you choose to learn shastar vidiya over mma, and for weapons combat your wasting your time learning shastar vidya over krav mega
