Gurbani By Bhagat Namdevji

Gurfateh Ji

With all due respect to the original poster, I do not see how praise of Sri Krishan Ji can be inferred from any of those Gurbani lines posted.

Out of all of them, only one can be seen to be referring to Krishan Ji directly (about the hunter) and read in context it can clearly be seen that only Vaheguroo himself is being praised for saving all of these people.

Two of the tuks actually use the word 'Raam', and even if we are going to believe such naams in gurbani are referring to avatars, sri raam chandar is different to sri krishan ji, but anyway Bhagat Kabeer Ji has already cleared up the use of 'Raam' in gurbani (and I believe this applies to all other kirtam naams that appear in Gurbani)

ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮ ਕਹਨ ਮਹਿ ਭੇਦੁ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਬਿਚਾਰੁ ॥

Kabīr rām kahan mėh bẖeḏ hai ṯā mėh ek bicẖār.

Kabeer, it does make a difference, how you chant the Lord's Name, 'Raam'. This is something to consid

ਸੋਈ ਰਾਮੁ ਸਭੈ ਕਹਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਕਉਤਕਹਾਰ ॥੧੯੦॥

So▫ī rām sabẖai kahėh so▫ī ka▫uṯakhār. ||190||

Everyone uses the same word for the son of Dasrath and the Wondrous Lord. ||190||

ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਮੈ ਰਾਮ ਕਹੁ ਕਹਿਬੇ ਮਾਹਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥

Kabīr rāmai rām kaho kahibe māhi bibek.

Kabeer, use the word 'Raam', only to speak of the All-pervading Lord. You must make that distinction.

ਏਕੁ ਅਨੇਕਹਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਗਇਆ ਏਕ ਸਮਾਨਾ ਏਕ ॥੧੯੧॥

Ėk anekėh mil ga▫i▫ā ek samānā ek. ||191||

One 'Raam' is pervading everywhere, while the other is contained only in himself. ||191||

The rest of the gurbani thuks are clearly refering to none other than Vaheguroo himself, there is no way you can say they are praising Sri Krishan Ji.

There is no doubt that these avatars were very great, but lets not get carried away, they were not Vaheguroo and there is no way bhagats like Bhagat Namdev Ji who were one with supreme Akaal Purakh himself would worship anyone other than him once they reached that stage.

Its very important not to misinterpret Gurbani.

In regards to the shabad, dhan dhan o ram ben bajai, note the first line, it uses the word Raam. Even going by Hindu belief Sri Raam Ji and Sri Krishan Ji are two different avatars of Vishnu, therefore you cannot possibly argue the shabad is to praise Krishan Ji. Clearly Bhagat Namdev Ji has used the word Raam to make this crystal clear that he is not worshipping Krishan Ji.

Please see prof sahib singhs teeka to understand the meaning of this shabad.

Bhull chuk maafee

Singhstah ji, I totally agree with you. Bhagat Naamdev ji is not doing pooja of krishan ji in that shabd. I have heard Bhai Pinderpal Singh ji say the same thing in one of his katha.

On one side, we are telling Vaheguru doesnot have any form .He is Form less.

then please tell me What sort of Darshan Did Bhagat Namdev ji, Bhagat Sadna ji, Kabir ji, Tirloachan...asked for?

Bhagat Namdev ji's Shabad Khoob teri Pagri Meethe Tere Bol....Dwarka nagri kahe ke Mogoul.

One side we are telling vaheguru gave darshan to Namdev ji in Krishan form bcz in Dwapur Yug, Krishan was Satguruji in Deh Saroop(even though Vaheguru was Nirgun sarrop). Beacuse of that Darshan those bhagats reach the Akal Purakh(vaheguru-SehajAvasthaa). and on side we are telling Krishan ji was engrossed in Maya.

Also Please donot compare Ragi Darshan to Avtaars Mahapurshs.

There was a time when sikhs also doubted when Guru Gobind singh ji Married to 3 Mehls(Mata Sahib Kaur ji, Mata Jito Ji, Mata Sundri ji).

Could you please tells what Sikhs would do when Satguruji does Sang.

So is Sindhuism official now?

The most popular among the Aryan religions is Hinduism. ‘Hindu’ is actually a Persian word that stands for the inhabitants of the region beyond the Indus Valley. However, in common parlance, Hinduism is a blanket term for an assortment of religious beliefs, most of which are based on the Vedas, the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita.

Relation with the Sikhs

In 1875, the Arya Samaj established itself in Punjab, and some of its members began stating publicly that Sikhism is a degraded form of Hinduism using what was seen as derogatory language in reference to Sikh Gurus and their writings. Leaders in the Sikh community, however, showed resolve in maintaining the status of their religion as independent and unique, and the statements of the Arya Samaj activists were summarily denounced as acts of aggression with the intent of destroying Sikh religious identity. Moreover Swami Dayanand called Guru Nanak Dev a "dambi", meaning hypocrite. It was also alleged that the Arya Samaj, which had taken an increasingly active role in certain Sikh Gurdwaras, was introducing practices that were contrary to Sikh principles and behaving in ways which would prove detrimental to the Sikh faith. In response, organizational efforts such as Singh Sabha and Gurdwara Sudhar Movement were launched for countering Arya Samaj influence and peacefully reclaiming control of Sikh Gurdwaras.
