whats the plan once you have an exhaustive list?

The list can be passed on to Sri Akal Takht and other prominent Jathebhandi's for their action. In the past Singhs from UK have had personal meetings with the previous Jathedar Joginder Singh Vedanti, SGPC Jathedar Avtaar Singh Makkar, Current Jathedar Gurbachan Singh as well as other prominent Gursikhs. All have asked for a full list of all the anti-Sikh Gurdwara committees who promote the meat and alcohol on their premises rather than the "piecemeal" approach we have taken in the past.

....and the list can act as a reminder that something needs to be done...

If we don't act upon it, these halls will eventually be our downfall....Those reponsible for promoting manmat under the disguise of gurmat are Masands...whether they think they are is another matter...Sikh History of the furture will look back at these committees and classify them as anti sikh for promoting the kind of things that the likes of Massa Ranghar did in Harmandar Sahib or Narain Das did in Nankana Sahib

Thanks to all the sangat that have viewed and/or posted on this thread.

I was thinking of when it would be best to stop the thread, in terms of when will we know if all possible Gurudwarae or associations where this is happening are listed.

I started this thread on Tuesday 22nd June and I'll give it until Tuesday 29th for all sangat to find out and post any other Gurudwarae.

You've got the whole weekend and a few days to post.

What will happen after this list is compiled is yet to be discussed, but I think that just by producing this list we've moved a step closer to stopping this once and for all.

Thanks to all for helping in building up this list. The sikhs in the south east part are focusing on Grays Gurughur.. can we get some sikhs in the north to commit to a gurughar and also sikhs in the midlands to do so aswell, ... this way we can get more done, otherwise progress will be slow... whatever gurughars u decide upon please update the sangat on this form....

This is not a joke.... Guru Granth Sahib Ji made to sit and witness all this manmat in his own home.. while die hard sikhs spend more time dressing up and going to kirtan programs.... which is good,, only when the guru is being fully respected.... Can we get all the sangat to Commit to this issue and not to stop untill all Gurughars stop this practice... because We wont

Just to put this in context.. this is no different to what Masaa-rangar did at Darbar sahib and Narian Dass did at Nanakana sahib.... in both instances sikhs had to fight to restore gurmaryada in thoes and other Gurughars...... This is no small issue.. so please do not ignor.... IT WONT GO AWAY.. lets make our life worth something.

There's several more Gurdwaras run by the Bhat Sabha where it is believed the "English fry up" is served as Guru Ka Langar on weekends. Doncaster, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh are rumoured to be serving meat as langar, please can someone confirm this........

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
