Is this Acceptable Behaviour?

  1. 1. Is Modelling, including potentially revealing poses just another thing we need to come to terms with in dealing with modern society or is it contrary to Sikhi irrespective?

    • Yes this sort of modelling undermines the essence of Sikhi

    • No, stop being so fanatical, a Sikh girl should not have to cover up

A generation of weak Sikhs has created a generation of weaker Sikhs. This is a problem that begins at home and our institutions where people think dresses and behaving in such a way is ok because everyone else is doing it in society. The girls copy their older sisters/aunts/mothers who might dress like common drunk whores when going out clubbing or simpley going out and so the younger generation see it as a norm and copy and follow.

Empowering non-Amritdhari females to look into their faith and history from early age and letting them take leadership roles to bring in strong moral code of conduct for themselves is the solution but our community has built such a cult and fixation on being Amritdhari to be seen as a Sikh that 80% of the sikh population are outside any educational programs, there are no groups for non-keshdhari males and females to have a say in anything when it comes to making decisions that affects the community. Someone needs to bring them in and over time let them feel they have a sense of responsibility, pride and accountability to behave in a manor that is of a Sikh and not of a non-Sikh hedonistic carefree athiest.

Maybe you are sick, take some medicine. Will you fanatics stop behaving like Muslims and look at reality. Just because she is modeling you throw her out of Sikhism.

not because she is modelling, but she is by no means a sikh...and she says that she is sikh model...she is not following even the single sikh tenent...a sikh model is a big thing and difficult thing to do...the world after seeing her on TV would not say how beautiful and graceful sikh girls are...but would say how s**y sikh girls are...it wouldproject sikh girls in bad light and accepting such girls as sikh models would encourage other sikh girls to go same way...now tel me are these girls capable of holding themselves to their roots...such girls should not be encouraged as "sikh" model...ofcourse if she would have projected herself as yet another model from india...none would have given a damn...!
