Meat Eating Allowedhi Just A Question I Can’T Find Answer. Any Limitations To Eat Meat? Punjab Dishes Are Often Based On Fish, Chicken And Lamb Meat

Recommended Posts

Hi

Just a question I can't find answer.

Any limitations to eat meat???

Punjab dishes are often based on fish, chicken and lamb meat.

But I understand, for people living near ocean fishing its natural,

And for farmer, they grow poultry,

And still I understand, shepherd grow lambs

But today growing and killing of animals its obscene,

For supermarkets and nonsense

Burger fast food..

I don't think killing and heating of cow

It's allowed by yours,

I'm be pure vegetarian 8 years,

But after marriage and son,

Sometime I've eating meat

And I'm afraid I'm sinful.

Did you now own growing and killing

Of animals like poultry, cows pigs and horses go on in western country???

Best regards.

hello :)

Most Sikhs are pure vegeterian and it is recommended by great saints

killing of an animal just to please your taste is wrong

according to the Akal Thakat Rehit Marayada (code of conduct for Sikhs)- eating any meat killed in the name of God is completely wrong

If we look at the highest authority of Sikhs (the Guru Granth Sahib Ji) we are told

Kabīr kẖūb kẖānā kẖīcẖrī jā mėh amriṯ lon. Herā rotī kārne galā katāvai ka▫un. ||188||

Kabeer, the dinner of beans and rice is excellent, if it is flavored with salt. Who would cut his throat, to have meat with his bread? ||188||

and

If you believe God is in all than why do you kill chickens

and

Ḏunīʼn▫ā murḏār kẖurḏanī gāfal havā▫e. Rahā▫o.

The world eats dead carcasses, living by neglect and greed. ||Pause||

Gaibān haivān harām kusṯanī murḏār bakẖorā▫e.

Like a goblin, or a beast, they kill and eat the forbidden carcasses of meat.

so basically the majority of Sikhs agree that eating meat is wrong because we shudnt take life just to please our tastebuds

some (who have trouble giving up KFC ) try to justify it otherwise

eitherway all Sikhs agree it is a grave sin to kill and torture an animal (halal, animal sacrifice) in the name of God

You may find it beneficial to read a book by Joginder Singh Talwara "Tau Murgi Kyo Maray".......(Why kill a chicken) based on the Pankti from SGGS Ji Maharajh.

There is a ebook version uploaded on:-

http://www.scribd.com/mokhamsingh

There is also the biography of Bhagat Sadna Ji who were born into a family of butchers. This 7 page ebook is very interesting.

I wouldnt recmmend that book, ive read it and it is poor, with many instances of misquoted gurbani.

Thanks to all

but I’m Italian and i only speak Italian, English and French

these e-books are in Sanskrit???

And the biography of Bhagat Sadna Ji

will not help my to understand Sikhism.

my question was :

can a good Sikh eat meat and fish and eggs???

Sometime?

if tolerated,

some animals food are forbidden???

Best regards

if you want protein eat legumes. soak them in warm water and leave 24 hours. then drain the water, rinse with warm water, and cover them with a towel soaked in warm water for 24 hours. when it's hot you may need to change the water more often.

the legumes will sprout, which makes the nutrients more bioavailable and reduces acidity (meat is very acid). every time you make sabjee use something different. you'll get all your protein plus many other nutrients from this.
