Sikh Council (Uk) - Launch On 11 December

Recommended Posts

There is a desperate need for Sikh issues to be raiswed on a single platform. Small groups have failed and foreign govts end up playing one group against the other, the net result nothing gets done. The Jews are very good at pushing there views with govts because they have a recognised organisation that carries weight with the Govt. Even the BBC changes its news reports if the Jews object. We have so many important issues such as Identity and justice for Sikhs that we need to do something quickly or we will end up without any real rights. Muslims and Hindus have their respective Governments which raise their issues with foreign Govts., we do not have that luxury.

Thank YOU !!

i dont look to them for the answers anymore. that's what sheep do.

well done for avoiding all the real issues discussed in my post.

i've already been part of your organisations but unlike some am capable to think for myself now. i got off my arse and did more for your groups than you have, my young billy goat.

besides i'm not the one claiming to run jathebandhis and organisations and then milking sangat for funds. there isnt one tyaar bar tyaar singh in these organisations, they're majority old biffers fattened up on all the jalebiaan and pakoray they been eating for 3 decades at Sangat's expense yet achieving little in return.

you keep following the sheep in front of you into the pen and leave the rest of us youth to not be the political puppets of traitor old fogeys.

theres no real issues in your post, just a negative attitude.

how do you know there is no tyar bar tyar singhs in any of these organisations? have you met each and every singh in these orgs?

how arrogant of you!

we can leave the youth if thats what you want, but what will you youths do? NOTHING! Youths are not being stopped from advancing Sikh issues, but, and i have said this for a few years now, the Sikhs youths are all talk and no walk.

And if the old people are traitors, then what are the youths? Irrelevant?

i could simply state likewise how arrogant of you to say all youth do nothing but i dont want to lower myself to that level. you focus on you and ill focus on me.

there are a lot of youth who are organised and are doing absolutely vital sewa out of their own pocket and yes some do resent the fact that they receive no support whatsoever from Gurdwara prabandhaks who often decide Sangat's money is better spent on extensions, unnecessary legal court cases and radio, newspaper and televison to promote themselves. this is why we're ending up with large empty buildings run by little hitlers, that's what arrogance is.

the council will be issue-based which is good. the nso, bscf and others failed because the government played groups off against each other. i hope SCUK does move things forwards. lets encourage each other. i hope those in the council become strong in their sikhee and that the council flourishes.

lets encourage each other not to hide tiny replica kirpan under our shirts or tying and dying our dara especially in council as media picks up on this & it will give sangat confidence that these are people who will fight for our kakaars.

slowly but surely i hope stronger, more inspirational role models will emerge within the council. maybe even one day a pressure group if the people at the front are charasmatic.

wish you all good luck. God bless

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
