Gurfateh Jee,

This tom anderson (although i think its a sikh posting as a tom anderson) has been emailing alot of people esp non-sikhs about this video he made.

Have a look at the vid, what do u guys think?

If this is real, it is a real shame and im not suprised (from a non-sikh point of view), they were shocked.

This Amritdhari Sikh continually verbally abuses these children on Vaisakhi. He uses threatening behaviour and instead of teaching with love he teaches with hate. Absolutely disgusting.

Please know that I didnt want to have to upload this video, but it seems as though the man in question is very well connected within the gurdwara network in Leeds and as such, nobody would take it seriously otherwise.

I suspect that the parents of these children arent aware of how they are being treated and the bad behaviour/language they are being exposed to.

video taken at Leeds, Chapeltown Sikh Temple

in these kind of out of school activities people organise these in their spare time and often they go over the top and over discipline and yes when they do it sets a bad example but to be honest compared to the way kids were disciplined in previous generations they got it EASY.

kids these days are brought up with very little discipline. parents complain over everything and there are so many rules in schools, that even well-paid teachers find it stressful having to be so careful. so dong this as sewa? majority of those who complain about this won't have experienced it.

sikh kids today far from being bhujangis, they are brought up to cry for their mommy and carry security blankets. when u look at muslim & black kids by comparison its no wonder they get bullied and give up their sikhi saroop so easily.

I commented on the video and he replied, however, he hasn't shown that he will take any action to speak with the individual in the video. I don't know if the person's trying to create more problems or actually is trying to help.

edit- I just thought of something funny...what if it's someone on forums. Oh how awkward that would be...

you wont tough them up like that tho will you? If anything you'll make them want to stay away from people like that. Sikhi is about pyaar bro, i dont think that any of our Guru's would resort to anything like that with some of us more stupider sikhs.

If the guy loses his temper, he shoudnt be doing it in the 1st place.

The kids in question were Kiddies, like under 7. I seen that vid before but the link from this site does not work. The Singh is having a go at little 5 /6/7 old boys and GIRLS and uses foul language like f****ng st*pid under his breath. The Singh involved looked like a little 5"9 fat guy, I'm no superman but open offer if anyone knows him PM me or search my post I have also stated where my offices are to someone in a post so let me take him for a training session and then well see how long he can keep his arms up. The guy is just a BULLY. Picking on little kiddies.

As for blacks and muslims, thats ridiculous as they are just kids. It's different if it was teenagers or young adults but little babies in my eyes no way.

The guy is a fat BIG BULLY and has a FOUL MOUTH. (BIG for kids not for adults, like too see him talk to the parents like that.)

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
