So benti to all don't let this blessed gurughar close. What right to we have to call our mother Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, if we don't even respect her? We are like dogs, which have forgotten our master, though a dog always comes back, do we? Think sadh sangat ji, is this the true definition of the khalsa fauj? That same fauj that the guru made pargat in 1699, Who are we? Think, how many more videos do we need to see? How many more posts do we need to read? How many more details do we need? can places like singh sabha southall not help? i mean they are prob the richest gurdwara in uk. if not, why not approach them or any well-off gurdwara to take over the loan, and the academy can pay them back in stages. is this workable?

Singh Sabha Southall would prefer that their Sangat money is used to pay the £150k litigation expenses of committee members against each other, rather than Gurmat parchaar!!!

Penji the thing is that in gurdwara thiers alot of politics basicially commities and thats tge thing in the a acAdemy which is different the kids run it . And the sevadar this weekend are trying thier best to go to gurdwara ! ...

Sangat Ji please donate as much as you can, as others have said, even if its what you might consider a small amount, it may make all the difference here.

The Academy has done someone amazing work with the local community and children. For those who dont know much about that side of London, its not the best of areas for children as many groups make it hard for Sikhs to grow up with their Sikhi. This comes from gangs, islamic extremists etc, they all have strength their, if the Academy is doing the real sikhi parchar and keeping kids off these other paths then we should do what we can to help.

The seva done there actually shows results. I dont mean to insult anyone, but often we do parchar and the only people benefitting are the people doing the parchar as they go home thinking job well done! The impact on the people listening may not be anywhere near as great as it has been on the parbandhaks (see any average gurdwara committee)! But here, the children show that the parchar is working, many of us have seen these kids doing dhadi varaan and kirtan at different gurdwaras around the country. But we also know that children's minds are fickle, if we take away the resources from them then the chances of them looking elsewhere for 'inspiration' is very likely. To prevent this, we have to do the best we can.

I think the money problems have arisen from the banks demanding greater security on certain debts which a few years ago they were happy to fund without the need. I know that the sangat there has poured thousands of their kirt kamai into the academy and its only beacause they've been unable to provide the banks with the adequate secrities (hundreds of thousands of pounds in a current acc/ property to that value i would expect) that they have appealed to the wider sangat. Make no mistake, unless this money is raised, the bank will reclaim the property and sell it as soon as it can to recoup their cash. Its business for them. So please, do what you can.

Also wanted to add that probs with getting off other gurdwara committee's are that they often feel that you then owe them a favour in the future! Others will feel that its their money, why should they give it to someone else, while some will think about the extra sangat and revenue that will come to them if a local 'rival' gurdwara closes. Its a sad state of affairs.

This is very upsetting to hear, but hopefully by doin Ardas and alot of Bhagti may Maharaj resolve this situation, i have recently updated saadhsangat.com and sikhtube.com with the recent information provided by sikhacademy.co.uk as the Main Page, i urge other websites to put this information up as there mainpage aswell, a situation like this should never come by for us sikhs.
