^^^^ You are wrong here ... check my old posts i had a close view on what happened ... and i m hearing this first time and that to on sikhsangat ....

it was regarding destruction of buildings by govt

force of sgpc not to do sri dasam granth sahibs parkash (jathdar nanadgarh didnt entered the darbar sahib beacause of this parkash on 300 <banned word filter activated>) ...

push from akj and taksal not to do jhatka ...

Niddar made a point with every thing against jathedar he may not stand this pressure and may change the puratan mareyada of sachkhand thats all nothing more nothing less

I didn't mean for this to become a debate, even though I guess I should have known it would have..

As far as jhatka is concerned, jhatka shouldn't be a ritual as it was a practical means given by Guru Gobind Singh Ji to humanely kill if absolutely necessary. Ritualistic killing of goats at Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib is against Sikhi...

Anyways Singh Ji, what was in the book? Summary please?

I cant write the summery what to write and what to leave but its good specially the pictures. Buy it read it follow the things you like forget the things you dont but its written in a way to make things clear then to make you more confused as many authors would do. Its has straight answers with references from history and other writings why certain things are done in nihang dals/ hazuri singhs to the point not impress upon readers more make more sales. So its to the point book with a frank approach

Thanks, sounds good then. I'll try searching on ebay for it (or if anyone here is willing to sell it) or will end up buying it straight from the website.

Thanks again.

I think one main gripe was the claim that the jathedar was allowing the destruction of old, historical buildings around the takhat in modernisation (it had a lot of work done to it in the run up to 300 years physical passing anniversary of dasmesh pita in 2008) and a lot of the Hazuri Sikhs living around the complex have been 'turfed out' in all this.

Some of the old images have the Hazur complex with a Durga in the centre.

I just think it generally follows that idea of the Singh Sabha lehar stopping lots of things Sikhs previously did (that they considered unSikh or Hindu).

Just get the book from the library first if you need to check it out. Or ask someone who has it to give you a peek?

I'll check to see if the local library has it, It'd be nice if they did. Don't think anyone I know would have it as I'm from the U.S.

I found the historical narrative (which can easily be separated from any of the theologically controversial stuff by anyone with average or above IQ) VERY informative. Overall I found the story of Hazoori Sikhs which it presented, quite inspirational. Plus the book was well written and sumptuously illustrated.

I only brought it because I found it going cheap(ish) at The Sikh Missionary Centre (in Southall) and brought it with a few others. I had no plan to do so because of all the controversial stuff I heard about it/him (Niddar). Straight up, I'm glad I did read it in the end.

Why must you ask questions which have been answered over and over again?!

you just want to create trouble with Niddar Singh, just because he is out of the picture you want to bring him back into this bakwas....

If niddar singh was seen with a bag full of booze why didnt you take a picture???? a clear one at least? what scared? so you did it on the sly? if your such a soorma pull your camera/phone out and take a damn picture what are you scared off?

seriously dont half of you have anything else better to do? point fingers at people? go sit down and read some bani get peace with yourselfs rather trying to make yourself's feel better by slandering other's.

caveman out.

Go on to Niddar Sanatan site, under the Nirmalas section at the bottom of the page, they have a quoted what they believe in, which was uttered by Nirmala Harbhajan Hari. This man that Niddar agrees with, first takes Gurbani out of context and then finishes off by saying the following:

All religious texts are worth worshipping of whatever religion they are.’

So this question is for the Niddar supporters. Where in Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj does it say what is quoted above? If your going to rip Gurbani out of context and spit on it like Nirmala Harbhajan Hari has done, then don't bother answering the question.

the book is full of <banned word filter activated>. i borrowed and read about half of a friends copy.

... i should have stoppped reading when niddar explained mai bhago ji lived the life of a naked 'sadhani' AFTER fighting along side the 40 mukte. this was in the first chapter i think. stupid me, i read half the sh!t in this book... his claims just get more and more stupid.

he goes on to diss sahibzade, 9th guru sahib,, baba banda singh bahadar and many more.

do not waste your time reading this filth (or your money buying it).

further there has been previous topics on niddars book, the original poster should have conducted a search. admins, close thread??

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
