Need Info On Senchiya/Pothiya

has anybody here brought over any pothiya or senchiya over from india? if so how did you bring them over? im going to india shortly and would like to like how other members of the sangat have brought them over while keeping the satkar of maharajs bani as high as possible.

also, if peple have pothia and senchiya at home, how do them keep them at home while keeping the satkar? I was once told that all senchiya shouldnt be kept toghether as it them becomes Guru Saroop, can any one clarify any further on this please?

If two people are going you can bring back one pothi each in handluggage. the most practical way would be in a bag , i.e. a decent sized laptop case sized bag.

At home many gursikhs who keep guru sahib at home place the senchis on guru sahibs bed also. if guru sahib is not at home, then you can place the senchis on shelves. there must be rumalas underneath the pothis and you should santokh the pothis there and place another rumala over them. both pothis must not be placed on top of each other ( that makes guru maharajs saroop )you could keep them side by side or one pothi on top shelf one pothi on 2nd shelf.

Don't know if this is any use to you but when we brought back senchies the bhai sahib who gave us them told us not to put 1 pothi on top another instead he said to put them side by side.also we kept them our laps on the journey home to UK...
