Black Hanging Rope From Car Exhaust?

Hi folks, sorry about lame title, but I have notiiced many sikhs have a black (like a horses tail) attached to/hanging from their car exhausts - what is the significance of this and where can I get one from....what is the name for it? Ideally I want a pretty thick-ish one like a horses tail and No I dont want to cut a horses tail off!

Apparently it wards off the evil eye and absorbs negative energy from people who look at your car with envy. The colour black vibrates at a different resonance to other colours and absorbs all other colours hence black hole.

In India they use a black mask with red lipstick this is mainly because the eye is drawn to red which is programmed into our genes to recognise blood in our days of hunting so your eyes are drawn to the red and the back absorbs the negative energy. I hope that answers your question.

Sikhs however have no need for such devices as a simple ardas or Khanda placed in a car has a much more powerful effect against all negativity providing the person who does the ardas is doing so with a clean conscience.

It has no significance to sikhi. Its just punjabi culture to ward off nazar. I think its called a guth ( translation is plaited pony tail, it is added to the guth and has the same name), in the old days long hair i.e. guths were the must have hair do, so basically people added black guths to there guth(plated pony tail). which are made of string not horse tails. Guths on cars are just to ward off nazar/ evil thougts against you and your property just like nazar bittus on kothis its just culltural. Nothing to do with sikhi.
