The BBC needs knowledgeable Sikh's to articulate the views of the Panth. Anyone with experience in multifaith discussions should apply by emailing the following:

You can apply to be in the audience in our next series by sending an email to audiencetbq@mentorn.tv

We are in the following locations in February and March:

March 6th Cardiff

March 13th Edinburgh

March 20th Brighton

I understand Hardeep Kohli will be apart of the participants on Edinburgh show.

Please check the website for more details:

Yeah, someone with vast knowledge of Sikhi (preferably a relatively young person and someone who can speak fluent, coherent English) needs to turn up. If Kohli is going to be there, we're in trouble. He is hugely intelligent (regarding certain issues), well-read, etc., but has no love or knowledge of Sikhi whatsoever (apart from his own warped understanding of the faith). We cannot allow him to speak for us.

Bhai Sukha Singh London

Bhai Sukhi Singh Bham

Bhai Kuljeet Singh Leicester

Bhai Navreet Singh Coventry

Maybe Baba Mohinder Singh from Soho Road Gurdwara

\Just a few suggestions

Any of these singhs would be excellent to counter any negativity and to think on their feet with Kirpa

Isnt the Sikh Council meant to be dealing with the Media??

Also I would say its very different giving an inspirational speech to fellow Sikhs, as opposed being able to cope with the relentless scrutiny of a room full of educated, articulate, non believers who have no understanding of Sikhi. The guys who represents the Sikhs will need to be very sharp and also understand the mindeset of the people he is speaking to.

What an excellent point. Expect a lot of 'Devil's Advocate' from the host (Nicky Campbell isn't it?). The speaker (whoever he or she will be) needs to be on-the-ball 100%.

FYI - Pyara Bhogul from Birmingham was on last weeks episode (Big Question Episode 8 - no longer available to view online) where they were discussing Karma and Reincarnation from a Hindu & Sikh perspective. Dont get me wrong he is a nice enough guy, but he made such a mess of explaining it. Most of the audience were actually giggling and laughing, it was such a Joke. Why do these individuals go onto national television when they are simply not articulate enough too debate under scrutiny.

The Sikh Council need to own public relations. All this needs to go through them. C'mon Sikh Council step up!
