Rss Infiltration.

I do believe that there has been RSS infiltration under our noses in terms of "Sikh leaders" in our community and are making the average Sikh fight amongst ourself.

My benti to the sangat is to always question every step of your path as there will be challenges and people trying to subtly change you as a Sikh. Sikhi is the life of truth and naturally or by kudrath truth is always suppressed or distorted by bad people who feel threatened by the truth.

Now's the time for love and informing each other without getting infuriated if you want to unify the Khalsa panth. Waheguru SatGuru resides in the SatSangat and if we play a part in breaking up this true Sangat we are doing a maha paap. Unify the Khalsa panth with love, sharda, devotion, and steadfast truth/facts! Even in a shant way you can still be a steadfast force that cannot be reckoned with, in many cases it is much more effective in unification...

In a room filled with darkness you don't pick up daangan (sticks) to try to bring light, you simply either turn on the light switch or light a bathi...similarly we approach whoever we think has fallen from the path and do whatever we can to help them. This is a part of being a Sikh as well, we need to help each other out.

As sad as it sounds, if a person is a "leader" or "politician" in the Sikh panth (doesn't matter who you think he is, i don't care if he's considered to have so much sharda ect. ect..) question the person and don't blindly follow them. The only person I trust is Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale and pthe GurSikhs around him. The sad thing is most of these gems physically gone and now they are trying to use Sant Ji's picture and image to sell their anti-Sikh anti-Gurmat agendas. Sant Ji is very much alive with us as are examples of other shaheeds. The ideals and truth they stood for is ingrained into our minds and flow in our body.

Our goal is unification. We cannot unify by doing nindia of anyone. Some people say you shouldn't do nindia of Sants, but you really shouldn't do nindia of ANYONE. Go out of the way and acknowledge what is the truth.

The RSS is a Hindu right-wing organisation right? So whenever someone who is a supposed Sikh begins to draw Sikhs away from pure Sikhi practices and push us towards Hindu beliefs, is that when we should get suspicious?

Yes, exactly when you should get suspicious. One thing that needs to be considered is the people who are part-taking in the activity are usually innocent of intent themselves.

Akal takhata has asked sikhs not to associate with RSS> Do not pick a photo at random and slam jathedars.

You should be pointing the finger at right spot. The real associates of RSS who are misguiding sikhs

and trying to wean away them from their scritures and traditions.

Those people missionaries, Kala afghana, Joginder spokesman and ragi Darhshan lal.

Why do not you blame them for the division?

RAGI REJECTS NITNEM AND AMRIT SANCHAR BANEES & ARDAAS

PANTHIC.ORG | Published on December 1, 2009

Sri Amritsar Sahib - After the heretic Darshan Singh was summoned to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, further audio and video evidence has surfaced corroborating the complaints filed by Panthic organizations that the Ragi has been openly attacking fundamental Sikh concepts and practices such as the sacred Nitnem, Amrit Sanchar ceremony, and the Sikh Ardaas.

Panthic organizations have requested the Apex Sikh Takht to take strict action against the blasphemous ragi for violating Panthic edicts, challenging age-old Panthic traditions, and hurting Sikh sentiments. The Ragi has been ordered to appear at Sri Akal Takht Sahib at noontime on December 5th, 2009.

For the benefit of Panthic.org readers, below are a small collection of audio and video clips evidencing the Ragi's offensive remarks.

(CLICK TO LISTEN TO RAGI'S HERETIC VIEWS ON NITNEM AND AMRIT BANIS) "ਦਸਮ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ…

RAGI DARSHAN SINGH - A TRAITOR AMIDST THE SIKHS

(EDITORIAL)

PANTHIC.ORG | Published on December 25, 2009

Ragi with Rajiv Gandhi's agent shushil Muni

It seems controversy is not anything new for Darshan Singh, the heretic Ragi, who was recently declared a 'Guru-Nindak' and a 'Tankhaiya' by Sri Akal Takht Sahib, for disobeying the authority of the Supreme Seat of Sikhism.

Evidence has surfaced that more than two decades ago, two major freedom fighting organizations, Bhindranwala Tigers Force, and Babbar Khalsa International were suspicious of the heretic Ragi Darshan Singh, and acknowledged that he was unfit to serve as the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib during those turbulent times.

Many have suspected that Ragi was a mole working for the Government agencies, installed to actively derail and torpedo the Khalistan movement in the late 1980s. New evidence and suspicions raised by prominent Sikh leaders of the past seem to validate this notion.

Ragi Darshan Singh was installed by the Tohra led Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in late 1986. Although Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal was also declared Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib by a section of the Khalistan freedom fighters, he later resigned for the sake of Panthic unity. Little did he know about the treachery that was unfolding under the leadership of his successor.

The Chandigarh Tribune narrates this shifting of power at the Sikh Takhts in their July 13th, 2002 editorial interestingly titled 'Misdeeds' of stalwarts during militancy. The Tribune editor notes:

"The SGPC under Mr Tohra had sacked the head granthi of Darbar Sahib and secured and accepted the resignation of Giani Kirpal Singh and secured and accepted the resignation of Giani Kirpal Singh as Jathedar Akal Takht.

On December 31 (1986), Bhai Darshan Singh Raagi joined as jathedar. On January 23, 1987, the three head priests had also been dismissed and in their place, Giani Puran Singh, Giani Savinder Singh, Giani Jaswant Singh and Giani Kashmir Singh were appointed as high priests. The 'Sarbat khalsa' held on January 26, 1987, approved the resolution of April 29 for Khalistan and also the recent appointments of the high priests. In a recorded message of Gurbachan Singh Manochahal played to the gathering he resigned from the post of Jathedar, Akal Takht, to accommodate Bhai Darshan Singh in the larger interest of the Panth."

(July 13, 2002 , Tribune India)

Softening the Target : Ragi Darshan Singh and Shushil Muni

Furthermore, the former Joint Director of India's Intelligence Bureau, Maloy Krishna Dhar, in his memoirs, states:

"He (Rajiv Gandhi) has already played the peace card through Ragi Darshan Singh and a Jain preacher Sushil Muni…"

(Open Secrets – India's Intelligence Unveiled, Maloy Krishna Dhar, Manas Publications -2005) Perhaps, one of the strongest criticisms, and serious allegations leveled against the Ragi came from Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal. Baba Manochahal was the head of the Bhindranwala Tigers Force (BTF), and a key member of the Panthic Committee, during that time period.

Ragi addressing the 'Sikh Convention' on August 4th, 1987,

an event that would be the catalyst for derailing the Khalistan Movement

During a convention held at the Sri Darbar Sahib complex at the Teja Singh Samundri Hall on August 4th, 1987, a statement was read by Baba Manochahal's representative, Bhai Daya Singh Chohla, that chided the Ragi along with the rest of the 'Singh Sahibans' for backtracking on their previous pledge to lead the struggle for the liberation of the Sikh Homeland – Khalistan.

The convention was called by the Takht Jathedars under the pretext that this assembly would 'define' the goals and objectives of the Sikh cause. Baba Manochahal and others openly questioned the need to define the Panth's goals and objectives when the Sarbat Khalsa had already done so. Baba Manochahal argued that the goal for the establishment of an independent Sikh Homeland, Khalistan had already been declared in 1984 and further ratified by the Sarbat Khalsa in 1986.

The contoversial convention, organized by Ragi Darshan Singh, was attended by Takht Jathedars Giani Kashmir Singh, Giani Sawinder Singh, Giani Jaswant Singh, and many prominent Sikh politicians and personalities of that time.

Khalistan no longer a goal

At the gathering it was declared by the Ragi that the Sikh nation's goal was not an independent and separate homeland of Khalistan. Instead, the Sikhs should strive for a more more autonomy in India as promised by Pandit Nehru during the partition. The Sikhs no longer needed to fight an armed struggle declared the Ragi, self-governance and autonomy could only be gained through dialogue and votes.

Chaos prevailed throughout at the convention, but this did not distract the Ragi from his task. This was perhaps the first direct attempt to derail the Khalistan struggle at the public level, and an insult to the declarations passed by the Sarbat Khalsa in 1986.

Bhai Daya Singh of Chohla Sahib,

an associate of Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal (BTF)

Bhai Daya Singh of Chohla Sahib, an associate of Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal at that time delivered a fiery message from BTF's Jathedar, and directly alleged that the Singh Sahibans were working hand-in-hand with the Indian Government to mislead Sikh community and divide the Sikh Freedom Fighters.

In the message read by Bhai Daya Singh, Baba Manochahal warned, such underhanded tactics would not be allowed to succeed by the Sikh Nation.

Message from Shaheed Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal - read by BTF Deputy Bhai Daya Singh:

Some of main points and questions raised by Baba Manochahal to the Singh Sahibans were as follows:

  • Has the Panth actually been fighting without a real objective/goal for the last five years?
  • Since 1984, the struggle for Khalistan was lauched when the Indian Government attacked Sri Dabar Sahib. This is according to the words of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale.
  • All Sikh Jujharoo (freedom fighting) organizations are struggling for the establishment of Khalistan. What objective are you trying to define?
  • Does this Sikh Convention want to put the Sikh Nation at the mercy of those so-called Sikh leaders who assisted the Government in the assault on Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and the destruction of hundreds of Saroops (of Guru Granth Sahib Ji), and the elimination of thousands of Singhs, Bibis, and children?
  • Singh Sahibs, we smell the stench that you have joined the Center, who is all too eager to appease the Jujharoo Singhs on the basis of Sri Anandpur Sahib Resolutions. You are now speaking of defining goals, if you still have not understood the goals of the Panth, then what else can the Panth expect from you?
  • Singh Sahibs, time will expose the truth. Is it not your intention at this program to weaken the resolve of the Sikh organizations fighting for Khalistan, and create chaos in the Sikh community?
  • Do you still have faith in the Indian Government? The same government that is actively destroying and eliminating Sikh institutions, the Sikh identity, and Sikh culture?
  • If you still have faith in such a Government, then there is no one who is in a dark pit than you, regardless of how high your current position is.
  • All Sikhs respect Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and the positions of the Singh Sahibans, but no one will be allowed to become a government stooge while holding such a respectable position. It needs to be made clear that only those Singhs can serve the Panth that are ready and willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of the Panth.

Regardless of the strong opposition by Baba Manochahal and other Jujharoo Singhs, the Ragi and the convention organizers passed resolution that would attempt to derail the Khalistan struggle by redefining it as simply a movement for further autonomy for Punjabis in the current Indian framework.

The next day Punjabi papers eagerly flashed the redefined objective by the Jathdars all over the front-pages. It seemed like the first steps of the Government planned coup to hijack the Sikh Freedom struggle from the Jujharoo organizations had been successfully accomplished – thanks to the Ragi, and his SGPC cohorts.

Can you imagine how confused someone newly discovering the faith would be with all of this?

It's got to the point where I personally keep some healthy distance from all 'Sikh institutes' and a certain style of overly politicised Sikhi just to keep myself from becoming demoralised/tainted.

In one way it is good, because the disgusting state of our polity encourages some of us to avoid it all and dig deeper into our bani and literature instead.

Darshan and his goons are a problem, but I think jathedars are a bigger problem too if they associate with the RSS and have Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj where people are sitting on chairs and hindu gods and Guru Ji's saroops are being handed out. The same picture you're talking about is showed without being zoomed in with people sitting on chairs while Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj is there. Massive beadbi taking place...

Remember, Darshan used to be a jathedar and now look at him. This isn't to shame any jathedar, but to awaken the panth and elect new Jathedars and not blindly follow anyone. All the decision passed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib I believe in because they can not pass wrong edicts with mal-intent because this effects the entire panth direction, however, their jobs to look after the Gurudwaras are in a way enumerated and they have tons and tons of money to carry out this simple BROAD task and can spend it for the proliferation of Sikh education and education that prevents nastak anti-Panthic forces from taking shelter in Punjab These people are mostly appointed or approved by Badal, the biggest THUG we've faced for a while. He betrayed and has literally sold himself in the name of maya...

Also, Darsh was an EX JATHEDAR OF SRI AKAL TAKHT SAHIB as well and look what he's been exposed as. Do the current jathedar have something special that we can't look at them under scrutiny in terms of what they do in their free time.

(Just to clarify i agree 100% with Shaheed Baba Manochahal Ji and the panthic news reports, but that doesn't make the issue black and white-one side being all good and the other being all bad)

The truth is, real leaders like Sant Baba Jarnail SIngh Ji Bhindranwale never want to take leadership spot because now a days most people are in it for other reasons. I have faith the people who fell for darsh's propaganda will realize that he is wrong. Our goal should be to understand Sri Dasam Granth Sahib to such an extent if anyone asks us we can calmly and educatedly tell them how and why Sri Dasam Granth is our second most revered scripture under Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and why it was written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji with banis in there.

Many people already realized Darsh doesn't know what he's talking about (I've seen this first hand).

I part-take in various Jathebandi functions and institutions and love them, but i always think of this phrase:

"Singho sewadar bano Sikh kaum de, na bhalu tussi jathedhariaan"

It is easy to get demoralized when you don't have a picture to grasp where the problems are and when you realize it isn't black and white, like many people try to make it look out to be, you can empower yourself to fight on both sides. This route is the hard way and will probably not gain much support, if any in support of what stances you take up on all sides...

We can't discount the possibility that we ourselves haven't got the complete picture regarding the apparent web of lies. Over confidence here can be seriously detrimental.

Plus maybe we need a period of laying off all the politicised bull and getting back to the spiritual nuts and bolts of our faith in anycase?

Nothing anyone of us is doing seems to be making a difference towards the security of Badal's seat right now, or any other self serving Sikh 'leader'. Plus the problems are so deep routed at this time, it seems like it will take a transnational revolution of sorts to rectify it.

How did it get so that the dharam yudh Sikhs needs to fight is against other Amritdhari Sikhs? The bigger lesson is how we slipped inch by inch to the current situation and what institutional safeguards we can put in to ensure it doesn't ever happen again (presuming we can resolve the current issue that is!) . Certain social habits like not being critically reflective, being over-conservative and overly reverent play a bit part in the current scenario. We need some measure of social change in these respects to even begin to change things.

SORRY meant we in general not you or anyone specifically (was talking about we, me included). Bad habit, i always do this while writing essays too and have to change it later on.

I agree with the over-Conservative part, especially when we stop acknowledging an other person's position on an issue. We try so hard to make everything one side good and the other side all bad. If life were that simple there'd be very little confusion.

I don't even know where we can begin to scratch the surface of the problem of the state of affairs in Punjab.

Sometimes things are so bad, that the best thing you can do is simply not add to the existing issues.

Slowly slowly, at grass roots level, let's form the open hearted/minded, strong, progressive community we know we have to be. Just move in the right direction as best you can.
