There is nothing to be scared of, embrace this state and let it flow naturally. You may not feel this again for a while but continue with focused meditation and with sehaj your conciousness will grow further. What is happening is your inner conciousness is freeing itself from the gross body, it is possible to release yourself from your physical body but you must get rid of any fear of leaving. In the mornings wake up to do some dedicated focussed meditation, practise relaxation techniques and clense your mind and body. Have a good diet and get rid of anything processed, commit to good excercise to keep your body temple in shape. Go beyond what you see with your physical eyes, it is merely an illusion.

This is just the beggining and there is an amazing world to be experienced if you follow with an honest heart and mind. Never waver from the path and although some things can be experienced, such as leaving the body or flying, they are not the end goal.

Original poster: is this anti sikh to leave your body? Iaint it what they call ridi sideya? Or is it normal?

Please explain what you mean when you say that it is anti-sikh to leave the body?

The best naam-simran can be done when one leaves ones body. The panj-chore reside in your body and make it near impossible to do any simran because of their continuous meddling, if you can get to a level where you leave your body then the panj cannot follow, now when you do simran you get 100% benefit.

Ridi-sidhies are all part of simran. As you progress in your spiritual level then the stages come when you obtain ridhis and sidhis. Most people get stuck here, they play with these powers and get engrossed with them. The secret is to ignore them, you have them but you keep them at arms length because you want to progress higher. then you get a state of bliss where you just want to sleep in your mind you want to get lost in the nothingness, again you work your way through this to go higher still to stage of Sehaj.

Is it possible to reach these higher stages (beyond the superpower stuff) of bliss without renouncing the material world?

Can a person really reach those heights if he's surrounded by what we term as 'everyday' life, i.e. kids, wife, relations, the wider world? Even the greatest souls had to go through a period of seclusion in meditation to connect with the Lord (Guru Tegh Bahadhur Ji being a prime example) - what chance do us normal folk have?

Mohammed prophet is also a prime example . He meditated in Hira cave ( in mecca ) in seclusion , where Quran got revealed to him .

Buddha is also a prime example .

But , I think , Sikhi does not teach us to live secluded lives for attainment of God .

O Nanak, meeting the True Guru, one comes to know the Perfect Way.

I think above Gurbani pretty much sums it all !

Maybe a pleasant instance of Sleep paralysis

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis

Agreed, it does seem somewhat very likely it was sleep paralysis. This happens when you either wake up really early in the morning, usually a few hours before you are normally waking up and then try to go back to sleep and lie still or when you wake up, do something like maybe read some bani then try go back to sleep. Look up Lucid Dreaming, they try to do this all the time.
