Commemorating June 1984 Attack on Sri Darbar Sahib Complex and other Historic Gurdwaras

Remembering the thousands of the loved ones lost in the massacre of Sri Darbar Sahib Complex, where the Sri Akaal Takht Sahib, Sikh Reference Library and historic artefacts were destroyed or damaged beyond repair by the Indian Government Troops. Over 125 other Gurdwaras, including forty historic Gurdwaras throughout Punjab were simultaneously attacked using massive fire power. Thousands of Sikhs were arrested, tortured, and killed.

Remembrance March 1pm to 2pm

March through Central London to Trafalgar Square

Freedom Rally 2pm to 5pm

Rally in Trafalgar Square.

Hope Sikhs in Canada - East Coast (Toronto), West Coast (Vancouver) can do something this year in June to raise awareness with non-Sikhs. Have just witnessed huge gatherings at Nagar Kirtans in Surrey and Toronto - weather will be better in June and given the number of Sikhs (especially youngsters) these events could be very successful. Sikhs have shown strength in elections in Canada yesterday and able to influence all major political parties re: June & November 1984. Organise events now and invite mainstream politicians to speak - test them out.

Sikhs on the East and West coast of the US should try and do the same.
