Omg by using the term non amritdharee, i am in no way trying to imply that they are tainted and that amrithdarees are holier than thou.

Just forget it. Jeeez

It's a matter of them coming to you don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Before we were born in this world God provided us with everything, family, shelter, etc. if it's in our karam to get married it will halon when it's supposed to happen.

A lot of people worry about marriage. Dont stress about it. Don't know why people think so highly of marriage, it's not some fairy tale, it's anything but that.

well i disagree with your last comment, yes marriage is hard work, it requires a lot of effort and tears of both happiness and of sorrow, but is any fairytale without woe and sorrow?. i think when your marrying the one you love, you sign up for all the hardship because you know your not alone in everything thats going to be thrown your way in life. Its a dream come true to be with that person for as long as you both live.

marriage is basically a union where you pay your debts. souls owe each other from their past lives so in this life they meet as family members or friends or in a rishta to pay off those debts. i believe that there are multiple possible karmic matches in each janam, but b/c some are too young, too old, already married etc those don't happen. so you end up marrying one of the karmic matches. there is no such thing as soulmate, as in each janam your spouse can be a different soul. the only mate of the soul is god.

Sanjog means when two people with same mentality, likes and dislikes meet each other and accept each other happily, it's like mathematical probability. As per Hindu law, marriage is a sacrament, but in present day world, it has become a 'contract', so the meaning of marriage as per Muslim law is more correct now. The sacrament show-off is just a hypocrisy. In the marriage market, two things succeed, if u are boy, money and riches, and if u are a girl, beauty. Girls and their parents like only Money, money and money. Therefore, in return boy's parents want hefty dowry and all of them visit temples and Gurdwaras, just for show-off. None of these really follow the teachings of Gurunank or any other saint. Gurunanak liked simplicity, but in his birth anniversary celebrations are celebrated extravagantly.

It's not just Sikhs or punjabis, everyone is after maya.

Honestly what's stopping you from getting married if not money !

Never the less, people do get married.

Some once, some numerous times, others remain single.

Call it Sanjog or destiny.
