Is It Right To Ask Guru Ji For This

I dont know why, but i have this pull in me, a lot now... I've had this pull all throughout my life, even when I was a little kid to leave the world behind and be in the sangat of Singhs and be given seva for the panth. I want Guru Ji to let me be able to give some type of kurbani to him and have some big seva ready for me in my life, seva for khalsa panth. I ask guru ji to give me strength to punish panthic dushts and if able it would be a honor to become shaheed for guru ji. But while i think about my push to see my life in this manner, is it wrong, I cant understand the push but sometimes i think am i stuck in a fantasy world where i would be remembered as a shaheed or person who left this world after doing big seva. Inside i actually want to offer my self towards waheguru, because offering ourselves once is not even enough but i would once in this life, as guru nanak dev ji says "Vareya Naa Jaava Ik Vaar"

In ardas i pray that i dont turn my back even from maadaan and ask guru ji for me to be given seva to punish dushts, is it ok to ask this, do other people ask for this for seva for the panth, as in making khalistan, or is it something we shouldnt ask for because god only gives it to those he already has chosen ?

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh

I love the post...and cAn assure u that ur not the only one who has this desire to do something for the panth, n for your guru.

Be tyaar bar tyaar for when your guru may need you but in the meantime, live by the gursikh rehat Maryada as guru gobind singh Ji said ' rehat piaari muj ko,sikh piaara naahe'

Not sure about ardaas to punish dushts as baani quotes ' fareeda, bure kaa bhala kar'...so may be just do ardaas for sarbat da bhalla and justice for the panth...and just read lots of baani to give u strength and faith to achieve your goals...Witt guru jis kirpa, you will get what you desire so deeply for....

Are you keeping pakka amritvela, doing hours of naam simran, keeping a large nitnem and doing daily sehaj paath? Because if someone isn't living for their faith, they aren't ready to die for it.

I'm sure many people have these fantasies but spend most their day on Facebook, tv, and socializing with manmukhs and the opposite sex.

People who have the nerve to do that are just disgraceful! :O

Iv started Amrit Vela a while back, sometimes i wake up autmomatically, and am ready for it, feeling like Guru Ji woke me up... but somedays truthfully its hard to get up, it takes time like ill sleep for another 20 minutes- 30 minutes then wake up again and push myself out of bed, as for daily long naam simran, yess... i have book bandgi nama (GREAt book on spirtualism, if any body wants it i have a online pdf link) so it taught me a lot, as for always doing a sehaj phaat, truthfully im lacking at that.. but on tv after rehras in the afternoon we get sehaj phaat on tv so i listen to that. Thanks for feedback everyone tho esp akaalkaur84...

Witt regards to ur post...keep the amritvela up... N push utself wen ur minds telling u to stay in bed...we're all kalyugi jeev and have that voice telling us to stay in bed... Also maybe try increasing ur nitnem by an extra baani..ullll need more time to do it so u will push urself..don't worry tho...keep doing it and just do ardaas for sarbat da bhalla...u will be helping urself by doing so too as u are part of sarbat too.. :)

Lol, yes according to gurbani without naam it pretty much is. With naam, it's okay. Remember peeps, females are sisters, males are brothers, wordly life is only worldly if you buy into the illusion. It's all maya, we have no image or form like Him. Really, there is no facebook, no tv and 'no spoon' as was very aptly put in 'the Matrix'.

Don't become part of the <banned word filter activated> of kalyug, rise above it with naam simran and good deeds, seeing every moment as a lesson and oppertunity for improvement and application of gurbani.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
