Baba Deep Singh Ji ( Sees On Hand )

Recommended Posts

It is difficult to believe if looking at the situation from a wholly logical and scientific viewpoint.

BUT it boils down to that fact that if you believe in Waheguru and his grace, then Baba Deep Singh Ji's feat was par for the course for a Gursikh such as him. I don't see why anyone would manufacture this "legend" in order to mislead people if that's what the doubters are trying to imply. The fact that these kind of events don't happen these days (or out in the open for all to see like the old times) is probably because many of us simply don't have that shardaa and utter belief in God.

But like I said, I do understand why the cynics are asking these questions and I guess they have a right to air their opinions. It gives us something to discuss! :smile2:

what does this has to do with sharda ? I am not saying it happened or not . I have not seen it happen , so I am silent on this topic !

<< I don't see why anyone would manufacture this "legend" in order to mislead people if that's what the doubters are trying to imply >>

But you can see ample proofs that brain ( head ) dies as soon as a person is decapitated because of the drop in blood pressure to brain . Also , person's brain instantly ( in maximum of 10 seconds , if not instantly ! ) goes unconscious when a person is decapitated ... Body twiches as a person gets decapitated . Fighting is scientifically and medically impossible in this scenario !

Have people changed Kaljugi? Were people that have come before us "better" people? I think what I've just written probably belongs in another topic.

I think we have changed. Some might construe this change as people being naive and more innocent during those times etc. Others might say we've gained more worldly knowledge whilst losing our spirituality and faith. Its difficult to say to be honest. I'm sure there were cynics and mischievous folk in those days too (BTW I'm not saying a cynic can be compared to a mischief maker) - We only have to look at the example of those many fake Gurus springing up as soon as Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji passed away and declared that the next Guru would be in Baba Bakala. Its much like these modern times where we've got people saying "I'm the reincarnation of Guru Ji" or "I'm an incarnation of God", etc.

What I am certain about is that there were a greater number of Sikhs in those days (compared to today) who had high avastha. Their belief was unwavering and their determination to do right by Sikhi was unshakable. I guess that's what I meant by there being better people in those times.

EDIT: I'm certainly not naive enough to suggest that those days were comparable to some type of utopia or something similar. I've heard a few stories about the things that use to occur in the general population during the times of our Gurus (in terms of household issues, husband / wife problems, etc) that wouldn't feel out of place in this modern world.

I agree with you when you say people were more naive and innocent etc. For example they didn't have all this media coverage, techonology, t.v. series etc and had a much more simpler living. We're talking about hundreds of years ago, you could even just talk about 50 years ago, things were definetly much more simpler.

Will probably get worse if this pattern continues and even fewer Gurmukhs will be about.

Then I guess its up to Sikhs to ensure that we don't consider the advent of technology and media as a threat to our beliefs. It makes us look weak and it implies we don't really have faith in the glory of Waheguru, because something as basic as a few advances in science (and an increase in societal awareness / knowledge) seems to threaten the Almighty who we love telling everyone has no limits and is unfathomable. You only have to look at the decline in mainstream Christianity in the UK to see how we must evolve with the times but not compromise our beliefs. Its a difficult balancing act for sure.
