Sikhi believes in logic and reason, however Sikhi also believes in faith, devotion and Guru Jee/Akaal Purakh can make the impossible possible.

Logically it is impossible for a "human being" to sit on an iron plate, have hot sand poured over the head and still repeat "I accept Your Will Sweetly".

Logically it is impossible for a "human being" to be boiled alive and calmly recite Japji Sahib in bliss.

The list goes on.

There is no limit to Guru Jee/Akaal Purakh's blessings.

If Guru nanak sahib can stop stone with one hand and his panja is still in the stone, if guru gobind singh sahib produce trebeni with one blow of neja on ground in guru ka lahor, if Guru sahibs horse can make water come out of the ground with his one foot blow in the area where is impossible to get water other wise, especially when sikhs have made big buildings around , without getting a drop of water out of the ground, if Reethas can be sweet, if Bhai Bidhi chand sheena can enter into burning furnace, If Bhai Randheer Singh ji and whole sangat witness a singh flying and doing parkarma of guru Granth sahib,Why can't Baba Deep singh shaheed hold his head on his palm and fight. Everything is logical, important thing is how to understand a logic. Remote control, TV, Planes, Tanks, mobile phones, internet, electricity, computers, iphone, tube lights and many many more things were illogical some years ago as well. Everything is logical, people just need to understand logic in proper manner. To understand logic of Baba Deep singh ji's shaheedi, you need to be drowned in the logic of NAAM RAS.

This concept breaks every law of the physical world. So are we under the assumption, Baba Deep Singh was some kind of magician and a had magical powers?

My 3 year old nephew knows magic is not real and nonexistence of the Easter bunny or the tooth ferries

Does not the concept of a God break every law of the physical world? Or of Satguru Ji knowing what is in each of our minds? Or what about Ardaas and Hukamname from Guru Granth Sahib Ji? To most people it looks like we are asking for guidance from a book and getting an answer by opening random pages.

If you read the article you would see that the answer to your question is not magic but naam. If you read bani you will see that it was through the power of naam that this whole world (and all of its 'physical laws') was created. Naam created everything, this naam can also alter everything. This world is not real, it is maya, the only truth is naam. Falsehood (this world and its physical laws) have no bearing over someone who is one with naam (the truth).

If Baba Deep Singh was one of the greatest warriors in the Panth, how can you even begin to accept that he was caught off guard so much that he allowed his head to be taken clean off?

Do you think that the Afghans or Moghals were not great warriors? Babur was a great warrior. It is understood that both Baba ji and Jahan Khan went for identical strike, and both heads were cut off.

What about Raja Hari Chand? Was he not a superb warrior? Yet he took an arrow straight in his head didnt he?

God has the power to do anything, and yes that also means change the laws of physics! I you don't believe that, then you probably don't believe in god either.

And they aren't just fantasy stories, go to Panja sahib you'll see guru Nanak Dev jis hand print, go to trebeni sahib and you'll see the river there, go and eat the sweet rithas from only one tree.. Try and explain those in laws of physics.. You won't be able to!!

science can not be used to prove the work of akaal purakh.... otherwise we are puting limits on the greatness of Vaheguru.

science can not be used to explain the shakti of bhagti. mahapurash can do great things that we cant, they are under the instructions of Vaheguru!! many mahapurash have done great things even in recent times.

That is a belief, which is generated by man over thousands of years. Beginning of time, man beloved in mother Earth and everything revolved around this philosophy. Over time a concept of a higher being called God is generated and is part of every main stream religion. So as man evolves the idea and thought process behind the concept evolves.

My question was that the stories that are told, are fantasy and beyond the physical. Why is there no scientific explanation? And many have mentioned God is beyond the physical, but as man we are not beyond the physical. We will not attain magical powers through meditation or Naam Jaap because magic is not real.

As for the story of Baba Deep Singh, is it not a concept (an idea)? Sikhs fought valiantly, even with their heads cut off they continue to fight. The stories are not to be believed as they are told but to understand the concept behind the story.

Over time as our mind is evolved we will bring a newer concept.

E.g. Baba Deep Singh may grow a head of a lion.

Science will always be in continuation because it's the Truth, part of the physical but the concept of God will differ as Man evolves.
