Has Ardas Worked For Anybody?

doing ardas does it work when god has written your life? I see my dad asking god for this and that and I think to myself are you wasting your time? as god will choose/has chosen what he will do for you and others. Ive asked for things in the past but it does not seem to happen mybe thats what lm getting at is there any point. I did read somewhere that you should do ardas as god is listening but really is there any point???

True love (the only true love is the Love for God/Truth) entails a Willingness to Accept His Will(Hukam)- everything he does for us is Perfect, the law of karma is perfect- even though we commit sins again and again he still gives us a chance to learn lessons and discover Him- that is pure unconditional love, all we need to do to reciprocate that love is to accept and trust that His love is holding us up and that everything happens for our benefit and to perfection.

Asking for extra is not respecting and trusting in his hukam, our desires are what hold us in the bondage of maya. If we had no desires, we would have no mind. The mind is the ego, it is everything we percieve the world and ourselves to be and is the Only Thing that holds us back from Him/ Realising who we Truly are. The mind is basically a load of <banned word filter activated> as what we percive is in reality nothing- He lives in No Image, has no form, no identity and we are him. Hence we are also Nothing/ Truth. Now what on earth could we possibly want/ desire if we know the Truth?

Nothing.

Hence as long as we desire we are in illusion/Maya. The reason for lust is desire, the reason for anger is desire, what could we ever be angry about if we live in truth, desire is the reason for greed, envy, attachment. You could be slandered by the whole world and not care because you realise that you are Nothing..just pure unconditional love(because He is all and All is him). Hence the reason the gurus were able to accept matyrdom for they knew the plates they sat on were not real, the people torturing them were bu*lshit images, etc- it was just God himself the whole time.

They didn't just know this, they discovered it on their own through bhagti, just as the bhagats from Guru Granth Sahib Ji did- the Gyan came from God within(and without). Hence paath should not just be read, it should be applied physically, through bhagti/ naam simran. Naam is Truth, it is a universal frequency of a balanced gyan which lives to discover yet remains detached from the nasha of the discovery, be it a high or low. The brahmgyanis live in chardi kala becuase they are attuned to this state of conciousness, which normal people(the maya dwellers) cannot comprehend, no matter what happens they know it is just the Balance/ Truth being served- they remain in realisation of another state of conciousness...

An ardass done with a true heart heart and an ardass done with belief in guru ji who are on the throne will never go wasted.

Many gursikhs have done ardass with full belief and have had what they asked for. Just look at bhai beant Singh and satwant Singh, they visited the broken down and destroyed akaal takht in June 1984 when they were still Indra gahindis bodyguards. They felt pain at what they saw and did an amazing ardass in Sri guru Hargobind Sahib jis charan and they begged for Amrit di daat and the chance to get justice for operation bluestar by killing the witch involved. Maharaj then blessed them with shaeedi and they bought Indra gahindi into narik whilst they got the reward of sachkhand.

from my own experience.... trust me ARDAS works. when u do ardas with full faith.....ofcourse it will take time but ur wish will come true...read gurbani

Maybe the issue is what you are asking for. Ask for naam, the ability to wake up at amritvela etc. with faith. And if you truley want these things they will come true Gurprasad (with guru sahibs grace)
