vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh.

guru pyare sadhsangat ji, plz forgive me.... im not going to tiptoe around this subject.

For any persons who do not believe in Sri Guru Dasam Granth Sahib do not respond to this topic or share your views - weve heard them all before.

I just wanto know, other then thakat sri hazoor sahib and thakat sri patna sahib, at which of our thakat sahibs is Sri Guru Dasam Granth Parkash?...

Dasam Granth used to be parkash on all takhats till control of SGPC. Its parkash was lifted from akal takhat in 1945 after its akhand path.Mohan singh

Nagoke was president of SGPC that time.

The other two takhats were outside Punjab and not under control of SGPC. They did not follow the exAMPLE of SGPC as they considered it as sacrilegious

act.

These three takhats have no parkash of Dasam Granth sahib now. Akal takhat has quite a few manuscripts

of Dasam granth sahib in its archives.

Shri Dasm Granth, which i believe is a masterpiece written by the Guru Govind Singh himself.

As a Hindu I can not fathom WHY it is not read out in EVERY gurdwara and kept alongside the Guru Granth itself?

Dasm Granth is so inspiriational and the parts I read inspired me. I hope EVERY sikh makes time to read it.

From a HIndu perspective, I really enjoyed the way theGuru wirtes an in depth biographical account about the life of Shri Krishna and how he killed the evil Kansa, and the 24 avtars of Shri Vishnu. I wish more Hindus read this GREAT GREAT WORK!!!

The Dasma Granth inspires Spirittuality and courage - the true spirit of the saint / soldier

Dasam Granth is NOT our Guru,

we have 11 Gurus, our final Guru is Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

i know what you are going to say.. bani guru guru hai bani vich bani amrit sarai...... in such case, our gutkeh in our rooms are Guru's as they contain Bani. Dasam Granth was not given Guruship, therefore it isnt our Guru.

this is your belief, fine.

we should still give sri guru dasam granth sahib the highest respect.

before aadi granth sahib was made guru, baba buddha ji carried the revered gurbani above his head, and guru arjan dev ji maharaj followed doing chaur seva. gurbani sahib was parkash and guru arjan dev ji maharaj sat lower then adi granth sahib. keep in mind, adi granth sahib was not declared guru yet. Guru arjan dev ji maharaj also slept on the floor while his bed was given to gurbani.

anyways... admin sahib my initial question has been answered. please lock this thread now... i can see where it is heading...

No one is saying that bro, what they are saying is Dasam Granth, the bani of Guru Gobind Singh Ji that contains spirituality, psychology, martiality and reality.

Our sole Guru is Guru Granth Sahib Ji, but Sri Dasam Granth Sahib is also our Guru's bani, therefore should be treated with utmost respect right? No one is saying Dasam Granth Sahib is our Guru, it is simply the Granth of Guru Gobind Singh ji compiled by Bhai Mani Singh.

Correct me if i'm wrong sangat..

edit- The Singh from panthic.org made a good video that shows how Dasam Granth Sahib is lower than Sri Guru Granth Sahib even at Sackhand Hazoor Sahib. I think this is the video where the Singh talks about what I just said:

This is something we shouldn't fight on. What people want to call Sri Dasam Granth Sahib is their own personal thing and should be left at that. Personally I believe only Guru as Guru Granth Sahib, but I also believe Sri Dasam Granth Sahib as bani and embodiment of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji (on th elevels i mentioned earlier) with his banis, spirituality, psychology, reality ect.. If someone wants to call it Sri Guru Dasam Granth, then i think it is fine because they believe it the granth of their Guru. In older days the Dasam Granth Sahib was called Dasveen Patshah Ka Granth which I think would be similar to what you would call it.

Obviously a darshan chela trying to spew misinformation and propaganda.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
