The Girls' Families Tell Me To Trim My Beard

So my mum gets these rishtay for me and rings them up. But most families we ring up say "oh our daughter wants clean shaven". What is the best answer my mum should give them. Should we go further with any rishtay with these families or just stop chatting there and then?

If they want clean shaven or trimmed, then that's their decision. But to tell someone who isn't in the aforementioned categories to get rid of their beard is nonsensical and offensive.

Thats damn offensive and unless you have a chardikala , those kind of remarks could make you doubt on your sikhi and possibly motivate you to hate your saroop ...

If she hates you and calls you a hairy bear for keeping flowing dhadi or too much facial hair , just politely decline the proposal !

But , the girl not wishing to marry a man with untrimmed bear is not her fault either ! Since her childhood , she is ingrained ( via TV and culture ) to believe that clean shaven means handsome , long dhada means ugly and boring babey-type ....

not always the case i stopped cuttting my kesh few years ago but even before i was into sikhi i was liek any other desi girl but i always wanted to marry someone who wore kurta pajama (white) and had a flowing beard because thats what i found attractive maybe because i have a lot of respect for my dad and i grew up seeing him in saroop

this one time me and my cousins were in the mall they asked waht kind of guy i would like to marry i said definitely someone with dari and they laughed at me for saying that. thats when i realized the problem is that girls grow up seeing their dad act like they shouldnt (alcohol or other stuff) then the daughters they happen to look up to becomes a celebrity. to prevent this dads should make sure they are a role model to their daughters. not only be a good dad but also a good person like my daddy is.
