Sangat tv are now using sangats money to air a live muslim funeral, where the Quran is playing out live and loud and the lslamic image will be in your face as the whole national media is watching. Our so called sangat channel is trying to compete with the big boys yet again, but they don't seem to understand the negative effect they gonna have. I don't understand what the trustees are trying to achieve. They were appealing live last night for direct debits, just because sikh channel was that's just petty. And when I realised who was on the trustee board Ive this morning cancelled my direct debit to sangat, as one of the members is a fraudster and well known in the westbromwich area AJit singh has also been to prison for tthis crime.

I was wondering that Baba Nanak ji or any other Guru jis or any other great warriors didn't require any TV channels to promote Sikhism. why do we need these channels where they constantly ask for direct debits? shouldn't relgious sewa be free without any personal interests? it seems that some sikh businessmen have just fallen for a TV channel idea just like some other big religions. these channels look fake most of the times as the presenters talk nonsense.

we have one large governing body (SGPC(Badal)) who could run many channels just for promoting gurbani .....only gurbani!!

That's not the job of sangat tv to do, live funeral programme should be aired on Muslim channels not a SIKH channel (sangat TV) the whole purpose of the channel should be to promote SIKHISM only. They are getting ridiculous now, why should we have Sikh channels anyway all they do is abuse it either by money or trust of the Sikh community. There doesn't need to be Sikh channels, bad in the day even the gurus were sucessful in promoting Sikhism they never had no help from any media. All the channels show is either repeats or talks among the older generation it doesn't really engage the younger viewers to watch it. They seem to be close with the Muslim community now than with their own Sikh sangat, how can it get any worse? It needs to stop or the Muslims will start to take control. They already have on facebook pages trying to mix Sikhism and Islam together.

For Sadh Sangats infomation, Sangat tv had a meeting with some youth representatives and told of our stance, they listened to everything and understood our concerns.

They are aware of the level of concern from the youth with their new found enthusiasm for "humanity" which for them means way kiss-chase of the muslim community.

Any steps they take now will be based totally on arrogance and disregard of the Sikh youth as they are now fully aware of where we stand.

It's nice to see Islamic and Sikhi unions. But going as far as a live broadcast of the funeral? would Muslims channels do the same for Sikhs? no.

Our Guru has been defiled and no channel has found it worthy to report so far yet they send idiots like Sonia Deol to report on a funeral which I can understand has affected the community but is nothing in comparison to the news that has come out today. Very shameful.

The sad thing about this Sangat TV issue is that I'm sure none of us wish to be insensitive about the deaths of the three lads from Birmingham.

But Sangat TV needs to get its head out of the clouds and sort itself out. It seems last weeks positive media coverage of Sangat TV has knocked a few screws loose. This is pathetic and extremely embarrassing. Put it this way: Would an Islamic channel cover the funerals of 3 Sikh lads?

Yo why don't you ask so called india's dharmic channel "astha tv" to do the same.. considering the Sikhs are responsible for any dharam being left in india.

at the moment they deliberately only show dehdhari pakhandis, dashan dass, narakdharis - that's how hindus thank the Shaheedi of Sri guru Teg Bahadhaur ji Maharaaj. Nice to know we're highly appreciated
