How Sikh Shaheeds Were Able To Bear So Much Torture Calmly

When a true Sikh connects with God any pain caused to his/her body is temporal meaningless their mind is care free they have given your life to the command of God, what has been destined and ordered for them they accept willingly and endure it in the knowledge they are going to a better place after this short life on this dunia is over.

This is how thousands of Sikhs were able to change from the mentality of sheep to lions, who went out actively seeking fights against their oppressors in order they could be sacrificed in the battlefield. This life is nothing without freedom to practise Sikhism in peace and non-harassment from temporal government or individuals.

In the famous speech made by Shaheed Bhai Jaswant Singh Kalra Ji, he said.. in the times of the Guru Sahibs, there would be some Sikhs (possible naive) who were keen to impress, thinking they may get "guru Gaddi" .. the ultimate status so to speak. Now that Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji Mahraaj has given the Guru Gaddi to Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Mahraaj, the eternal Guru.. what could be the ultimate achievement for a Sikh now? as you could never become Guru?

The ultimate prize is Shaheedi, and as Sikhs we are supposed to celebrate this, as difficult and heartbreaking as it is for mere moorakhs like me to understand.

But when we accept God's will, we do it without any expectation of return. A love- which is pure acceptance of Gods will unconditionally i.e acceptance of the Hot Plate of Matyrdom- is the gyan of God, i.e remaining pysychologically sound in every situation. It is is simply living in Truth, attuning yourself to His frequency- recognising God in everyone in every situation.

Who is the Hot plate? God.

Who is the torturer? God Himself.

Who is there to fear and whats there not to love when everyone and everything is Him?

It is a love beyond logic and our programmed maya knowledge, it cannot be explained, for his state cannot truly be described- to love and accept all as perfect (Nirvair) and to Fear nothing(Nirboa), knowing all is Him is the real love.

Because it cant be explained, we can only feel it- thats why reading gurbani is not enough, we must apply it.

Definately the enlightented Sikh recognises this and thus any pain or grief in his/her life they can over come without any sorrow because they know everything including pain is a gift. Gurbani says these are gifts from the lord, a Sikh must recognise this and accept them in order to understand escape this world forever (cycles of birth and death) and unite with the lord of all creation waheguru.

Wisdom from past experiences, knowledge of Gurbani, love and trust of Waheguru is the only way any of us are escaping from entering creation time after time maybe as lower beings or in human form again but harsher realities due to karma who knows.

Many people waste their time in useless pursuits when in this short and hard to get human life they should get these fundamental things sorted out first before other matters.
