The way Guru Jee's sroops were thrown in a well and alcohol was thrown on it indicates that the criminals who did this were in a drunken state when they committed this crime. Judging from that video, the way the villagers are hiding the criminals is proof that the criminals behind this crime are their own close relatives and they don't want them to be punished as they know the Sikhs are extremely angry right now.

i think the reason is because the police have told the pardhan not to tell, he is scared of what the police will do... if it wasn't for the police which scared people no one would act like this especially when surounded by hundreds of Singhs like Bhai Amrik Singh
