Fix Up Singhs!

There are many extremely good looking Amritdhari Girls and Amritdhari/Keshdhari Men, and they would have spotted a potential partner for themselves. However, they are frightened to say anything in case they are accused of 'kaam'.

If there was a specialist agency and/or match makers set up just for Keshdhari/Amirtdharis, solely and exclusively for Amritdharis/Keshdharis, this problem would go away over night. Non-Amritdharis, who wanted to marry an Amritdhari or Keshdhari could approach that agency too, to see potential partners. However, this sort of agency will never be happen! As whenever something is set up to help Amritdhars or Keshdharis out, the muner start crying saying, "they are left out us".

We will never be able to support children or Adults who are Amritdhari or Keshdhari because the muner keep saying they have been left out!

Fateh Jee....

I need some help and Advice from sangat jee!!

HOW DO U CONVINCE YOUR PARENTS TO LET YOU HAVE A WIFE WHO IS a) AMRITDHAREE and b) WHO WEARS A DASTAAR???

That deponds on the parents. If your parents are Sikh on the outside and the inside then they would not need convincing.

However, if the parents are only Sikh on the outside, then you will have to convince them (maybe alot). It all depends if the parents have learnt anything from the years they have been attending the Gurdwara. If they have learnt very little from the Gurdwara, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji's teachings, then it will be difficult to convince.

I know some Punjabi Sikh people who view Amritdharis and the Dastaar in the same way as Aurangzeb and Indira Gandhi used to view Amritdharis and Dastaars. These Punjabi Sikhs keep coming to the Gurdwara but the hate the site of the Kesh and Dastaar as given to Sikhs by Guru Nanak Dev Ji/Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaaj!

Hard to be believe but it's true! There as some very regular old Punjabi people who attend Gurdwara but hate the Site of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's/Guru Gobind Singh Ji Kesh and Dastaar!

Your personality plays very important role. If one is Sikh by choice but have sort of inferiority complex (everyone does at some point of life) then your life will be hard. True that majority of girls and boys look for superficial stuff when talking about rishta and do not get discouraged by that as people changes their viewpoints day after day. Sunsingh's post is very informative !

To ppl who are posting messages such as 'get over this', stop whining etc.. To them, all I can say is to have some sense.. Is this the way to support your brothers??

Many will disagree with me but my strong advice to all unmarried singhs or kaurs is to get in touch with your roots back in Punjab!!!!

Haha this is funny

But on serious side it is wrong.Do you think that cricketer monty Panesar ,despite his limited success had problem in finding a Girl.

Also Cricketer Harbhajan singh who keeps very thin beard but also wear patka is known as playboy of Indian cricket team.Infact once Yuvraj singh( clean shaven jat sikh cricketer) Described him as his love guru .Now Harbhajan is in Relationship with a UK born Hindu girl who is doing modeling ,rumours are their that they will marry next year.Any Girl Sikh, non sikh will love to be his wife irrespective whether he keeps beard or not

I thought Harbhajan girlfriend was sikh geeta basra

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
