Dal Khalsa UK alongside the wider Dal Khalsa International ,fully suppports D - DAY,Dastaar Day & condemn the disgusting antics of Sangat TV & each and every single Jathebandi or so called 'Sikh Leaders' who appeared on Sangat TV to oppose D - DAY.Those groups/individuals who appeared on Sangat TV are out there for Self Glorification ,forget Self Determination for Khalistan.

This is the reason why the UK Sikh Community is so dis-connected with Panthic Causes - due to these rich old lazy men always wanting to take the lead,as well as impress their masters sitting in Panjab - ie: Parkash Badal - Badal Dal.All of those who appeared on Sangat TV have open links with Badal and are now open about it after the Sant Samaj alliance in the recent SGPC elections. These fake Khalistanis got upset due to the fact that they did not get to put their name on the entire event so now they try to sabotage it by all running to the Badal Backed Sangat TV ,even the Akal Takht Jathedar was flown in for the occasion.

Leaders and Groups like those on Sangat Tv opposing D Day need to get their acts together or get out of the way and stop holding the Sikhs in the UK at Ransom. The select few rich powerhouses behind Sangat TV and those who claim to be Sikh Leaders have held us back for long enough its about time the UK Sikhs showed some people power and got rid of them.

Shame on Sangat TV for continuing their hate campaign & shame on those leaders/groups who not only have tried to derail D Day but have caused more divisons in the community. Not a surprise that in the last 27 years we have managed to achieve almost nothing in terms of Sikh Freedom as we've always left it to these useless people to take the lead, well its about time things changed.

Power to the real SANGAT!

Respect to Sikh Channel for going ahead and not being put off by such haters

The Sri Akal Takht Sahib directive further stated that the ragi, being no longer part of the Sikh Panth, will not be allowed the benefits and rights assured to a Sikh, and instructs the Sikh community to break all ties with the ex-communicated ragi in the terms of "ਰੋਟੀ-ਬੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝ". Furthermore, all worldwide Sikh organizations, institutions, and Gurdwaras should not allow the Ragi to utilize their facilities, or provide any type of assistance to him; anyone who does so, they cautioned, will be considered a tankhayia (apostate) who will be held accountable to the Sikh Panth.

This whole dastaar day in the UK is a complete red herring and a waste of time. The fact is that the UK government have been bending over backwards to help the Sikh community in regards to the 'Respect For The Sikh Turban at UK Airports' issue. And for all their hard work the thanks we give them is a large awareness day outside Parliament, when one isnt even needed! They are already aware! This makes our community look like a joke. However, Europe is another matter, in order to have the UK Sikh airport policies implemented in Europe, it is very worth while having these awareness get togethers there.

In the last 6 months the Sikh federation and Sikh Council have achieved the following in regards to the Respect For Sikh Turbans in Airports issue:-

March 22nd 2011 - Lobby in the British parliament in regards to Respect for the Sikh Turban at UK airports (and across Europe).

April 26th 2011 – 30 minute adjournment debate took place in Westminster. Dozens of MP’s attended the Respect For Sikh Turban debate and 15 managed to make a contribution in the 30 minute session.

1st June 2011 – Minister of transport Rt. Hon. Theresa Villiers MP sent a 3 page letter to the ministers in the other 26 EU states. In the letter the Minister stated: ‘On 30 November 2010 the UK secured EU agreement for a trial that avoids physical touching of the turban by hand….”

15th June 2011 – All Party Parliamentary Group for UK Sikhs (APPGS) meets the Transport Minister Rt. Hon. Theresa Villiers. The Minister has confirmed that the trial will be taking place in 17 out of the 20 largest UK airports. Fabian Hamilton MP who is the chair of APPGS will be speaking to the executives within the remaining 3 airports for a justification as to why they wont be entering the trial.

12th July 2011 – Sikh representatives meet the Transport Mnister – Sikhs want the UK trials concluded as soon as possible and the results shared with the European Commission to allow other EU member states to adopt the same procedures as soon as possible. The Minister discussed how pressure could be exerted on EU states.

18th September 2011 – Fabian Hamilton the chair of the APPGS has confirmed that a delegation of MP’s including himself and Sikh representatives will be travelling to Brussels to meet the EU Commissioner. Representatives from Italy and Greece will also be attending the meeting as there are specific problems in these countries.

Reply to Aman0001,

Aman0001 please do not confuse the situation that D Day is a waste. If UK Government is bending backwards to help Sikh Community, why are we STILL having issues today, or is it our Sikh representatives who meet the Government have not got a clue in explaining the Sikh community needs.

Why do we have annual rallys in London, the Government/ Non Sikhs are aware of what happened in 1984?

Why do we need to waste our energy/money effort in organsing such events?

Why does the Sikh Federation publish annual booklets?

The answer "For Awareness" hence the D-Day is important.

It's even more important to have Sikh Dastaar Day you may recall an article this week in the Telegraph:

http://www.telegraph...-president.html

I applaude you if you are part of the Sikh Federation (UK) and the work you have done upto this date: BUT still not enough!!!! We need to do more..... Sikh Council (UK) which as been set up by Sikh Federation has a different interface to it is also doing a great job.

Sikh Council has not been set up by Sikh Federation. It was set up by Gurmel Singh who is independent of any jathebandi. It is a national body composed of all major UK jathebandian including Akj, federation, Taksal, ramgharia community, ravidassia community, bhatra community and many others. It is incorrect to state that it was set up by the Sikh Federation. For a start many other Sikh jathebandian would not have joined it if it was started by the Federation.

Dal Khalsa to release such a statement is not a good idea. Do not agree with this move at all, personally. Sikh Council I can understand issuing a statement, but why one-man groups like Manmohan Singh of Dal Khalsa? Why cause more friction and stirring? Why take extreme sides?

Dal Khalsa, well supporters of it on this forum anyway, are supposed to have a panthic image to support Khalistan and anti-India (I 100% agree with that). But according to Chaheru on Panjab Radio last night, he read out an email from Mr Bal of Sikh Channel which said that there should be no "anti-Sikh elements" at Dastar Day and no talk of "Sikh Sovereignty" i.e. Khalistan. This is obviously the signs of a pro-India channel and person who is against Khalistan. So the question is, why would some one like Manmohan Singh and Dal Khalsa (forget them actually, in particular their UK youth supporters) want to support such an event and channel that is pro-India and anti-Khalsa Raj???

In fact, it must not be forgotten that until Sangat TV came, Sikh Channel never spoke ANYTHING political about Khalistan or against India or anytihng about Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindan Wale at all, not even a photo. It was Sangat TV who first played speeches of Sant Jarnail Singh, so I have to rate them GREATLY for that!

(I am not against Sikh Channel in anyway and neither am I for or against Dastar Day, it is just an interesting question one can't help but to wonder).

Babbar Sher don't forget that Manmohan Singh (Dal Khalsa UK) was also escorting Paramjit Sarna at the Parkash program in Hayes last year!!!

If that is true then Manmohan Singh could indeed be a 100% sell-out and agent of India/Sarna. No doubt this rumour which has been floating around in UK Sikh circles for years could be true!

I have also heard rumours that Dadu Sahib Wala Baljit Singh is very close with Sarna and is in regular contact with him - do you have any info about this?
