Sau Sakhi

Dear Sikhsangat,

Does Anybody has an access to copy of Original SauSakhi (the one which was taken by British guys from punjab to london). someone told me that the Original Sau Sakhi is kept in one of the Historical libraries in London.

and a copy of that original Sau sakhi was taken by someone.

Does anybody has an access to it.

It would probably be in the British Library if it is here anywhere. There is an old English translation of it floating about on the net, if you look hard enough.

There might have been one made in 1733 (Piara Singh Padam's seems to trace it back to the court of Guru Gobind Singh) but the one we have today is not from 1733. It gives references to Nadir Shah, Shah Abdali, Maharaja Ranjit Singh etc which means it was corrupted at a later stage
