Doing Ardaas At Home?

Is it ok for me to do ardaas infront of a bahu-shabadi asa di vaar gutka which is very big (300 pages of shabads) and do ardas in front of it after doing nitnem and take hukam from it after ardaas? I have been doing this for sometime as this is the biggest gutka I have and I do ardaas and bow to all my gutka sahibs and treat them with high level of respect.

please advise.

It is perfectly fine do Ardas infront of Nitnem Gutka Sahib.

As for Keertan pothi's they contain Bhai Gurdas ji's Vaar and Bhai Nand lal ji's writings which aren't Technically Gurbani.

Therefore it's advisable to bow in front of Nitnem Gutka Sahib.

My suggestion is that you read one Shabad daily at random and do Vichaar from the Bahu-Shabadi or Amrit Keertan.

Hukumnama must only be taken from Sri Guru Granth Sahib jeeo as per Sikh Rehat Maryada or code of conduct. So it's better to read Daily Hukum online or take a cyber-Hukumnama at http://simran.info/h...nama/cyber.html

Wo? Nitnem gutk hs a menu page no riten by any guru so u sayin it bad 2bow on dat 2? Weird ! if Bhai gurdas ws infront o me i bow down2 them 2!
