The formal Ardaas we are familiar with today was standardised under the Singh Sabha lehar and rolled out after the Gurdwara act 1925, the further insertion regarding Nankana Sahib and Pakistan Gurdwaras would have been introduced after 1947.

The main structure of the Ardaas is believed to have been originally compiled by Bhai Mani Singh Shaheed with numerous additions being inserted over the years.

Thanks. Thats what I wanted to know.

The section of the Ardaas which refers to the partition in terms of "Gurghar aur Gurdhamaa Jinaa Nu Panth Toh Vichorya Gaye Hai, Khuleh Darshan Didaar Teh Seva Sambhaal Da Daan Khalse Panth Nu Baksho" - does anyone know who composed this section?

Its quite sad everytime a Sikh hears or does this part of the ardaas as you're reminded how some of our important asthaans taken from us (location-wise at least).

It is very sad when you hear that, especially as our Sikh Shaheeds gave their lives for those asthaans too

does anyone have any updates on the this topic?

GPS Mentioned the Ardas was handed by Kalgidhar Patashah on a tablet? Anyone got more information about this?

Which would suggest the Ardas was composed by Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaaj?

on this tablet, is "Nanak Naam Chardikala, tere Bhahney Sarbat da Bhalla" inscribed?

Anyone with knowledge of Ardas used by Parathaan Sikhs (before formation of Khalsa). Udasi Sikhs?

Hazoor Sahib Ardas and Nanaksar Ardas.

Hazoor Sahib Ardas and Nanaksar Ardas.

Can anyone help?

There seems to be little or no literature available on the origin of the Sikh Ardas.
