Is it acceptable to take our kirpaan off so we can get on a plane for the sake of an international samaagam when what you're going for (saadhsangat & keertan) can be received where you live?

(So basically, you get the same thing but without taking your kirpaan off)

Views please...

its not a matter of not being able to survive without food...the question is why? What is the point of it? Is it to lessen our guilt of not wearing a kirpan?

in mornings, we do not eat without first doing nitnem, similarly we should not eat without our panj kakars on. If you feel so strongly about it, and dont see the point then by all means eat whenever you want.

hmmm.... but what if a situation arises on the plane and you can't sort it without your kirpaan? Then we're not thyaar bar thyaar as we should be right?

yep i agree...we are not tyaar bar tyaar..thats our own fault really...no sovereignty..no rights...khalsa is supposed to be Shastardhari ALL THE TIME....if we cant keep that oath then we are not real khalsa
