The Punjabs water table needs to further deplete and Inflation needs to rise further before any Arab Spring arrives in the Punjab.  At the moment people are too comfortable to demand a change.

The only hope we had was for Mann Akali Dal to form a coalition with PPP and concentrate on tackling social problems such as corruption, unemployment, drug abuse, dereh, poor education and healthcare.  If these two parties united then Badal and Congress would have a serious rival to contend with.  Only then would the everyday Hindu and Sikh get a glimpse of how a Punjab would function to benefit lives of the everyday person.  This would be a start for Khalsa Raj.

Punjab is a province as it stands now which is not part of the Arab world.

It just won't happen, Punjabis and Sikhs are under-educated, if you think learning Sikhi is the type of education that is going to lead forward a revolution you are wrong. Guru Gobind Singh ji said it him self, whilst studying gurbani one must gain a worldly education. Unfortunatley, Sikhs don't carry that authority.

The people of Punjab are no different than any other nation.  When pain is inflicted they feel it and only then do they respond in protest. At the moment the youth are numbing that pain of social injustice by turning to intoxicants.  The ones that don't abuse drugs are numbing their pain by purchasing worldly goods such as cars, motorbikes and gadgets.  Similar to comfort food syndrome.

All these comforts and measures to block out pain have a common factor which is 'Money'.  As soon as this starts to dry up and means of access such as Finance start to close, then the youth of Punjab will be left with no other option than to revolt.

Coming back to my earlier point 'Punjabis' are comfortable for now!  You cannot not force a revelution'.  But no government can halt one of the conditions are right and Punjab is simmering towards one very soon.

This is THE biggest connundrum for apnay in panjab, IF they revolt like the arabs have done recently, like you guys have mentioned, then surely the revolt will be crushed, just like the khalistan revolution was. What i mean is, it will give the kaminay living in delhi a beautiful excuse to kill sikhs again in large numbers. We just cant win. The only way is if REAL sikhs/panjabis become the parliament of panjab, then we can revolt for independance. There is no two ways about it, if the panjab govt during the 80's was with bhindrawale, rather than secretly working against him, in favour of the delhi kuttas, then we would have a khalistan cricket team by now.

The badals/captain amrinder etc are on the same level as any marauding emporor whos pillaged panjab, they are doing incredible damage to the land of five rivers. unfortunatly even manpreet badal is a FAKE in the making. Whilst he seemed genuinely caring for sikhi, he recently visited ram rahim dera in haryana looking for votes, its just deflating man!

Also some of the youth are SOOOOOOOOOOO BRAINWASHED its unreal! just going onto youtube you will astonished at how much despite all the info of 84 and current plight of panjab ppl kno about, all they keep saying is "OH shut up u pakistani isi agent fake sikhs". Ive been called pakistani on youtube by so many sikhs and anti khalistani and anti panjabi ppl on youtbe by ppl livin inn india/canada/uk, dat ive lost count now.

My friend they are not fake muslim/hindus pretending to be sikh, altho they all accuse me of being a secret pakistani! who would go thru all that trouble to create a fake profile! altho we hav discovered a few muslims pretending to be ex-sikhs who hav converted to christianity/islam n try 2 slander r religion.

i find most canadians r khalistanis on youtube, uk is kind of 65-35% in favour of khalistan, indian sikhs are ovrwhemingly brainwashed and probably 80% pro india
