Why can't Sikh girls marry non-Sikhs? And can Sikh boys only marry Sikhs?

we are not allowed to marry non-believers, as this affects the sikh population.

because its hukam (command) for sikhs to marry sikhs...as we are a people who dont seek to convert people...its only natural we would like to retain the adherents and families currently in the sikh fold...

well ur r right we dont seek to convert ppl, but sikhi IS a missionary religion, just the problem is the british/hindus during colonial times were worried at the rise of the sikh population, as we had the highest birth rate, also along with musims the most converts, so they try to control sikh popualtion by tryin to numb our missionary work.
