You guys are mad. Don't tell me you've never worn a suit and gone to somebody's graduation, a wedding, a dinner, nothing. <banned word filter activated> extremists

Did anyone say wearing a suit is bad or wrong? These over reactions and lack of correct understanding of others post is causing a lot of problems. I say extremist are those that act in anger causing them to lash out at others who have said or did nothing to what the extremist is raging about. Extremist show a lack of understanding about the topic and/or make up some imaginary acts that never took place and then lash out and call others extremist.

Yes we are all extremists...we will be cursed to hell for ever and ever...

what point was extreme?

lol

Nothing! Some just don't understand post and then get all uptight. The solution to being less uptight is to read or listen to Bani all day and night. But i guess this solution is going to be labeled as extremism as well.

I have to attend 4-5 parties and i am confused the color combination of suit tie shirt and turban.

Can anyone show me some pictures of well dressed siikhs so that i can get some idea about clothes

I know some people have said match your dastaar colour with your tie, but I would STRONGLY advise against it. It looks a bit fresh (unless it's a black tie and black dastaar).

Black dastaar with a grey suit (grey is better than black for non-professional events) looks fine. And then you can wear a white shirt with any colour tie you want, or you can wear different coloured shirts depending on whether your suit is a light or dark grey. When I say colour, I don't mean like red/pink/green etc, I'm referring to muted shades. Stay away from really shiny suits because they can look a bit tacky. Also, buy slimmer ties and shirts that fit properly. A good pair of black shoes will match nicely with your suit. I wouldn't bother with brown..most people don't know how to wear brown shoes and it looks naff.

If this has confused you, just go to a website or an advertisement selling designer suits, look at the colour combinations and copy them.

Sorry for such a superficial post but I was trying to be objective and as useful as possible. It goes without saying that we shouldn't get too attached to fashion or our appearance.

Suit: Black is the best

Tie:if u are slim go for slimmer ties otherwise go for broad ties.

Color: Pagri's color should always be darker, it comes out good in pics , If ur tie is dark color then match the pagri with it and if it's lighter than tie the darker shade of the color of tie.

e.g black suit,white shirt, red/maroon tie,red/aroon matching paghri :)
