Always rember what Sant ji said...to be a sikh and do paap is the worst thing of all..but to be a sikh and not do the right thing is even worse.. WJKWJF

go to india there r hundreds of fake babaeh at every pind . our gurus told us not to believe in superstiotions because they r fake . ur family like many other familys is not educated because ur grandparents werent educated and hindus told them to worship these guys to get stuff and it got passed down to ur parents n u but what makes me laugh is that we have our true religon to prove that this is false and we got science to prove this is false but we still go there even though our guru prohibited this . if any sikh follows bip ran ki reet that is no sikh of mine said Guru Gobind Singh Ji. n if u left the house u should ve left it for good live on ur own in a basement n get a job or live with ur cousins but before u leave ( this is wat i would have done donna bout u ) start a fight for sikhi in da faimly point out obivious bad things ur parents r doing punch the fake baba in the face with brass knucles and then leave the house till things cool down or live on ur own or live with ur cousins . n if u do punch the baba dont blame me if ur parents fine or put u in jail.

Bhai Sahib ...

If you dont feel ok at home the your Bibi's house is great ... or you could come to mine if you want ;)

What I would suggest though is that there is no greater power than Bani ... Chaupai Sahib is a great bani to Recite. I would every day go home and in peace recite Chaupai Sahib ....(hamri kro hath dai rchcha. pooran hoeh chit ki eichcha. tav charnan mun rehai hmara. apna jan kro pritipara. (1)hamrai dust sabhai tum ghao. aapu hath dai moeh bachavo. sukhi basai moro privara. saivak sikh sbhai kartara.(2)) Im sure this baba will not stay long. As for your brothers anger i've always found listening to sukmani sahib helps me a great deal

not saying this is the best transatlation but wikipedia translations

ARRIL

The dumb, who will listen to it, will be blessed with the tongue to speak; the fool, who will listen to it attentively, will get wisdom;

That person will be absolved of suffering, pain or fear, who will even once recite this Chaupai-prayer.404.

It was Bikrami Samvat 1753;

This book was competed on the banks of Sutlej on Sunday, the eighth Sudi of the month of Bhadon.

O God ! the day when I caught hold of your feet, I do not bring anyone else under my sight; none other is liked by me now; the Puranas and the Quran try to know Thee by the names of Ram and Rahim and talk about you through several stories, but I do not accept any of their opinions;

The Simritis, Shastras and Vedas describe several mysteries of yours, but I do not agree with any of them. O sword-wielder God! This all has been described by Thy Grace, what power can I have to write all this?.863.

O Lord ! I have forsaken all other doors and have caught hold of only Thy door. O Lord ! Thou has caught hold of my arm; I, Govind, am Thy serf, kindly take (care of me and) protect my honour.864

I am sorry to hear this, it sounds as if your family is converting, especially your parents. If you can convince your other family members than maybe they can talk to your parents and get rid of this guy. Have they been going to the Gurdwara with this Baba if so then that may change things, maybe the sangat will say something to them.Also how does your brother feel about this, if he disagrees with this lifestyle than maybe you can convince him to live with you as well, if this happens than your parents should see that it is breaking their family apart and they may stop. Stay strong, everything will get better.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
