In the Khalsa Panth, there is respect for learning and wisdom, not just age. Bhai Gurdas ji contrasts Hindus with Sikhs:

When one bows before a brahmin, he also in view of the station of the person gives blessings accordingly.

ਪੈਰੀ ਪਵਣਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖਾ ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਸਰੇਖੀ।

Pairī pavaṇā saṯigurū gur sikhā raharāsi sarekhī.

Among the Sikhs, on meeting, the tradition of salulation by touching feet is there, and this is the best one.

ਰਾਜਾ ਰੰਕੁ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਬਾਲਕ ਬਿਰਧਿ ਨ ਭੇਦੁ ਨਿਮੇਖੀ।

Raajaa Ranku Baraabaree Baalak Biradhi N Bhaydu Nimaykhee |

Rājā rankku barābarī bālak biraḏhi na bheḏu nimekhī.

In this act the king and the poor are equal and no distinction of young and old is observed.

ਵਾਰਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ : ਵਾਰ ੨੩ ਪਉੜੀ ੨੦

 

Meaning, among the Hindus, they slavishly bow to the Bahman. But the Sikhs respect each other, they are all equal, kings and paupers, old and young.

ਜੋ ਮੈ ਕੀਆ ਸੋ ਮੈ ਪਾਇਆ ਦੋਸੁ ਨ ਦੀਜੈ ਅਵਰ ਜਨਾ ॥੨੧॥

Jō mai kīā sō mai pāiā dōsu na dījai avar janā ॥21॥

Whatever I did, for that I have suffered; I do not blame anyone else. ||21||

ਆਸਾ ਪਟੀ (ਮਃ ੧) (੨੧):੨ - ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ : ਅੰਗ ੪੩੩ ਪੰ. ੧੪

You are born according to Hukam and Karam. You are more than fit to live in this world. I infact insist you stay and suffer like the rest of us. Consider medication, sure bro. Find big sis and take care of some basic needs and daily routines for yourself, for the Paanth. I love and respect your bro.  Exactly as you are. Because of how your are, and whatever you need to balance out your day, get that help bro.
