Surely the panthic way to select jathedar would be to call a sarbat khalsa or have a worldwide vote. It is the Sikh Panth who should select jathedar. It would be unfair to give jathedari to one organisation the panth would never accept this.

No one samparda/jathebandi can claim only they have right to Jathedar of Akal Takht.

Every jathebandi/samparda shuould be able to put a candidate forward and then let the panth decide. If the candidate for Nihang's win that will be fine so long as they were voted in through a voting system involving the entire Sikh Panth.

Currently, it is the SGPC that has a lot of influence in selection process which is wrong.

No disrespect to the Dal, but in general the jathedar should be someone who is qualified and has done immense sewa for the Khalsa Panth. It is not a title that is obtained just by being the leader of a Dal. In the past cats infiltrated Nihang Singh Dals and now Dhumma has infiltrated the Damdami Taksal.

I don't know who the current jathedar is, so it is not an attack on any jathedar, just stating someone shouldn't be a jathedar just because he/she is a Nihang Singh Jathedar.

Akali Phula SIngh was jathedar of Sri Akaal Takht Sahib and he was not from Buddha Dal, but from Misl Shaheedan Dal (same with Baba Hanuman Singh). If a person is deserving and follows rehit fully and deserves to be Jathedar then the Panth should decide who the Jathedar is, not just by being the Jathedar of a Dal.

i think bhenji kamaldeep kaur has displayed amazing composure, passion and commitment - she has come across as a remarkable woman, unphased by the attention and remaining Panthic dhardi at all times.

She would also make a great Sikh leader and doing so a great role model for our sisters too

She should be appointed with a senior role asap.

Why can we all not understand what Rajoana is saying to us? He wants us all to unite. All I am noticing is people coming out to divide.

In any 1 family not all members will agree with everything. We will have different ways of doing things. We will have different roles. We need to stick together.

Our enemies want to divide and rule.
