Yeah it looks good but I'll wait for the reviews for AC3.

The Uncharted series is brilliant. I've only played the first 2. I think I'll get the 3rd one later this year.

The story will obviously be fantastic. What I'm worried about is the introduction of guns. What made the previous games so special and unique was the lack of guns, using mainly swords. But now it's set during a period where guns are extremely common. Also, it will be interesting how they deal with the lack of tall buildings

Also, quite a few people haven't played brotherhood or revelations, and large plot advances were made in those games. Wonder where they will pick up the story exactly

They (Ubisoft) have over-used their property. An instalment every year since ACII is simply too much. It's fine for games like FIFA or COD but with something as story-driven as AC it hasn't gone down too well. Although they clearly haven't been terrible games they've not had the same reception as the current peak of the series ACII.

I personally would've liked to see only 3 AC games this generation with 3 different protagonists in each game, with longer time spent on making each game and ensuring the fans were excited for each game to be released.

Just my opinions. :biggrin2:

Max Payne 3 and Hitman 5 will hopefully be my highlights this year. Or The Last Guardian if it's ever released.

Theyre gonna use cliffsides and stuff instead now and u can do assainations in a full scale battle....i think the introduction of guns is cool cos it will giv u the option to pick them up at random and fire them apparently which is a pretty awesome feature..

Just look how awesome this is :D

They haven't reached peak because they are just side stories. They're not meant to have as much hype as the main stories. I really enjoyed playing them, but I have to agree with you in regard to the plot. They made the plots of Brotherhood and Revelations too long and top confusing. I don't remember anything from either of them. Overall, really fun games, but they went overboard with the story complexity.

Just curious does anyone play Microsoft Flight Simulator? Great series, shame the studio got shut down

....also playing video games islike the same thing as watching a drama , it pulls u in (maya) distraction .

To be honest as I've grown up I've found the time I spend gaming is decreasing by itself. I was never a hardcore gamer (in terms of spending hours in-front of the TV because that's just annoying) but I like reading about how games are made and the various philosophies and ideas behind them.

Nowadays I never buy a game on release. They're too expensive and plus there's a GOTY version of the same game with extra content a few months down the line. Also, with time constraints it's tough to get into a title these days because there's so much stuff to do at home, whether it be things around the house or even ensuring you spend proper time on nitnem, etc.

I stopped watching regular TV in 2004. Completely lost interest. The only thing I watch is the news and the odd episode of The Simpsons if they're showing an old episode. So apart from that the only reason I bought my TV is for my console. :biggrin2:

Don't. 3rd one wasn't that good. I suppose after doing a really bang up job on the first 2, it was darn tough to make the 3rd crazy good. I personally think that the 2nd installment was absolutely brilliant.

Exactly. The second one was perfect. The architecture and the sights recreated in the 2nd game really makes me want to visit Italy one day in the future (Florence, Venice, etc), lol. Also, I learnt so much about the Borgias, the Medici, etc., just be playing ACII. I actually bought a book on Renaissance Italy because of playing ACII......he says, trying to justify passionately why he plays video games... :blush2: :biggrin2:

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
