EVeybody who uses the name Ramghria is a descendant of Jassa Singh as he was the first to use it.

Remember the Misl name: Ramgharia was used because Jassa Singh created the Ramgharh fort, as this was in Amritsar he named it after Guru Ram Das. The name Ramgharia was used/given in apprecation of Jassa Singh building the fort only.

I recently watched this fascinating Sikh Channel interview with G S Mann on the Dasam Granth

It ended on a REALLY interesting note, where Mann quoted the minutes of a meeting of Christian missionaries that took place shortly after the 2nd Anglo-Sikh war, where the missionaries spoke of a desire to separate Sikhs (and by corollary Sikhi) from "the evil of Guru Gobind Singh" in favour of what, I imagine, they (mistakenly) perceived as the more pacifist teachings of Baba Nanak.

This might help explain why the Dasam Granth seems to have slowly come to occupy a background position in the mainstream panth afterwards?

Good work by Mann on highlighting McLeod's mistaken dating of the Prem Sumarag Granth.

It very well could be. RSS and other such groups try to dissociate Guru Gobind Singh Ji from Guru Nanak Dev Ji as well in hopes ignorant Sikhs will believe their propaganda.

Correct me of I'm wrong, but Guru Nanak Dev Ji started Amrit and also carried shastar and the knowledge of shastar vidiya was passed down to Guru Hargobind Sahib through Baba Budha Ji.
