Just out of curiosity, how would one Place their child in the Taksal?

i dont think there is any formal procedure, some youngs boys freom my village will go to Mehta Chowk for a week or 2, every now and again to learn santhiya and such.

I know some boys from Uk do the same, but also Uk boys are going to Dal Panth as well to learn about Maryada of Dal Panth.
