I know why the OP's asking this question. There's a tendancy amongst many middle aged Punjabi women these days to drink wine at functions and justify it under the context that its just a type if grape juice so not as bad as beers etc. I like to remind them that wine is in fact 3 or 4 times stronger than a beer. Thus, the one glass of wine is the equivelent to 3 glasses of beer.

Ha, ha, I've heard that as well. My mother has been encouraged (for the past number of years) by Sikh midddle-aged women at her work to buy wine for Christmas because, in their words, "It's just grape juice and seeing as you and your son don't drink there's no problem". Mata Ji obviously told them to jog-on but it makes me lol.

when a person gets drunk, kaam will follow him/her automatically..........it'll pollute the thinking and will make one do bad karams.....
