I Don't Believe In Modern Feminism

So then the TRUE question is, can one have an ego and really be a Sikh? The answer is yes. It is impossible to do well in the world as we know it without being competitive. There are limited seats on a basketball team. There are limited seats in law school. The important thing is not whether one is driven to be better than others: THE IMPORTANT THING IS, AFTER HE SUCCEEDS, WHAT SORT OF RULER IS HE? After he is better off than others, will he give some of the fruits of his labours to others (vand chakna)?

Hopefully that answers your question.

It wasn't a question about ego, more a statement. I suppose what I feel is missing is why you think women shouldn't be equal (however that is defined). Your post is primarily about your life and then ends with 'I am TOTALLY against equal rights for women'.

If we are arguing outside the theological beliefs of Sikhism, then there are 3 salient reasons why women ARE NOT equal. I mean, it doesn't even have to beget that women are inferior from a logical stance. Logically, men are superior to women. I must point out that I don't say this out of malice or to spite the opposite s*x. Rather, because it is now necessary to point it out because so many are being taught to loathe passing judgments.

Ik) Men are stronger than women

Doh) For every 5 genius males, there is only 1 genius female. When comparing average IQs however, both men and women are the same.

Tinn) Malik Bhago was one woman. For every 500 sikh soldiers who are men, perhaps 1 is a woman. The hackneyed retort often used by western women (who are an affront to God - an affront created by the greedy men of capitalism) say that "women give birth" has no affect on any of this. Yes, women give birth. That's it. There's nothing more to this statement. It's a postive trait but certainly not enough to alter the previous facts.

Similarly, it doesn't even come into the equation that women are more scared of battle than men. The fact that there are so many women in the army now in USA is not because they want to be there. It is because they are INDOCTRINATED to be there and there are laws pushing to make them into men.

Aur joh desh ess gumraah deh raste parr jaandaa hai, odah siraf ikh hee manzil honndah heh..................aur ohh hai barbaadi.

When I came to USA in 1990, there were very few women in engineering, the army, sports, etc. It was quite a normal nation but starting around 1998-1999 has been an affront to God. The United States simply exists now. It is not alive. It is not moribund. IT IS DEAD. Like the Roman Empire, there is no sprituality left in it and one of the main reasons is that these people have forgotten about how the sexes are equal in life value. But they NOT equal in abilites nor should they be. They complement each other. They shouldn't compete outside of academics nor should they mix freely with each other.

Here is a clear example of this: I have never had a female friend, nor will I have one until I marry. I will also not use a "smiley icon" with you or any other female. I would if I was replying to a male. Does that mean a man shouldn't laugh with a woman? No. It simply means that these types of actions, that can give an intimate connotation, should be reserved for his wife and relations.

Satsriakal.

This is a stupid and offensive topic. Admin, please close this topic before the OP continues blabbering on.

Satsriakal. Like I said earlier, it is not meant to be stupid. Why is it offensive? I have discerned this is an american trait, to label everything as "offensive". We Indians and Sikhs do not get offended so easily. On the contrary, since women are half the population it's very necessary to discuss this topic.

More importantly I have not received discussions about my query yet. My original question was, am I sikh if I don't grant women equal rights?

Sat sangat ji: Tvadi kripaa dee bahaut mehrbaani agar assi ehh prashn deh upar hee apni tandarusti laga sakde haan!!

i think everyones realised what a joke LAXMAN is!

Your IQ stats are joke 5:1 isuntrue in fact IQ is very close between genders although men are higher there is a higher standard deviation for males as well. On top of that you must take into account that women are generally discouraged from higher education in many parts of the world

Women do give birth and raise children they are as influential as men, and have generally been excluded from joining old boys clubs such as the army

Finally regarding strength i know enough singhnia who would be able to kick the <banned word filter activated> out of you!

p.s dont ever drop a :) when your married as you would have to go pesh immediately, sounds like you have a dirty mind that you are struggling to control. also im sure the fact you dont have a female friend is based more on females not wanting to be your friend.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
