The couple getting married is a Sikh girl and a non sikh *removed* man

It seems like there are so many of these sikh girl *removed* (I think you mean non-Sikh) man marriages happening these days and very few in the opposite direction.

Famous examples include Parminder (who is now divorced) and Gurinder Chadha.

What is it with Sikh girls these days?

There was one at the Singh Sabha gurdwara in Slough a couple of weeks ago. The Ramgarhia gurdwara has banned them here in Slough.

It is not beadbi to marry a 'white person' or anyone of any race, and neither is it a 'problem'. The only problem and beadbi is someone non sikh or not willing to accept sikhi attempting to take part in the anand karaj ceremony. I'll say it again, nowhere in Sikhi, not in any scripture or any present day authority such as Akal Takht, is there a ban on marriage between people of different races, the only ban is on a person not of the Sikh faith wanting to take part in the Sikh ceremony to get married!

In line with this there has never been and never will be any protest against any anand karaj because of the race of any of the parties!

I don't know what motive you have in trying to make us sikh community look racist, troublemaker.

if the guy getting married has agreed to accept sikhi and add singh to his name, then according to akal takht there is no problem at all.

We have fed Sikh girls barmy PC lefist nonsense from birth and now we are paying a big price. Through our ignorance and corrupt intellect we have then misinterpreted Sikhi to make it look like Sikhi agrees with these daft ideas (which it doesn't). Our old culture needs to be brought back if we have any chance of surviving.

Good on the Ramgarhia gurdwara comittee........at least some of us have anakh and sharam left.

Yes but he hasn't accepted Sikhism hence the protest, at least that's what I gather. There's nothing wrong marrying another race that's up to the person getting married. But a gurdwara marriage ceremony is only for Sikhs.

In reply to tuhadadaas how do you know the man is willing to add Singh to his name?i have no problem with inter racial marriages and I am not a racist!what I do have a problem with is doing pakhand in front of guru sahib it is BEADBI of our guru if you are doing anand kharaj and have no understanding of what the bani means ,it is just a mockery of Sikhi and that these people use it to there advantage to show there real Sikhs? if you followed the teachings of guru Granth sahib JI you would know its more than just about getting married it's your promise to guru sahib and a way of life ,also the man in question is not a Sikh and so can not be married in front of guru sahib so stop trying to twist what I'm saying , I bet the man doesn't even know the gurus names and what each guru contributed?from your post you seem to know the person in question as you said he is willing to add Singh to his name.so are you a family member?were you at the civil ceromony?

needs to be answered. If the guy has not done the above, he cannot get married at the Gurdwara
