you may do what you wish , I have heard that some people burn it or let it go it in a stream or river and then do ardas or whatever you are comfortable with. as long as it lives in your heart and you practice it from your truth you will know inside the true essence of it ,it can never leave you . it is a personal choice. is a fine line in having that kind of awareness .

So what's the point of Satkaar then? If you don't care about Gurbani beadbi then why do you bow to the GuruGranthSahibJi? How about 'Pothi Parmesar Ka Thaan'

What you are saying about Living Gurbani and understanding it, Andar Vasnaa is completely true and I agree with.

I do not agree with not caring about the Satkaar or Gurbani though

By your own post you showed that you hold the body in higher regards than Gurbani. Stating the following for the body

body is just as spiritual as the soul , in fact it is a vehicle of expression for the soul

But then stating the following for Gurbani after being asked, "So are you saying we should be putting the birdh Gutka Sahibs into the local curbside recycling bin?!?!?":

you may do what you wish , I have heard that some people burn it or let it go it in a stream or river and then do ardas or whatever you are comfortable with.

I'm ask you two more questions and I would request that no one take on answering these questions until ravkaur44 answers them. Here are the questions: From what you have learned and what your understanding is, when does Gurbani die and What or who is the Guru of the Sikhs?

To the Gurmukhs that read my question and are insulted, i'm very sorry and I hope you forgive me.

Bibi Jagir Kaur was speaking in convention as President of SGPC. She very humbly told the people present there, we have used so much of gold to beautify HARMANDIR SAHIB and we are using very beautiful marbles to increase the beauty of HARMANDIR SAHIB . We are doing this and that to increase the beauty of HARMANDIR SAHIB.

After her lecture the time was for Dr. Jaswant Singh Neki to speak. He narrated a story:

There was a very loving family, had tremendous respect for their elders. One day mother and father made a plan to visit the holy shrines. They left the house for couple of months. One day door was knocked elder son opened the door and postman delivered a letter. Letter was from father joy and happiness prevailed all over the house sweets were distributed. Letter was framed in gold. Family made routine when they began the day they vowed to letter. After some day door was knocked again and postman delivered another letter, joy and happiness just got doubled. The letter was also framed with first letter. After week the door was knocked, this time father was there, u can imagine if his letter can bring happiness and joy, how his coming back home would have been taken. Moments later they realised mother was not there. Son asked the father about mother. Father queried about his two letters son, have u recieved the letters, with proud son showed the gold framed letters. Father with deep breath said I wrote this letter to tell u that ur mother is ill and I need money for her treatment and when I didn't get answer I wrote again because u never read it. And now I came back after cremating ur mother.

This story really never happened. But it has a question.

With regard and respect please rephrase ur question and start a new thread so we can assess sikhism in ourself and grimness of situation.

Your story simple does not apply here. If you would like to start a new thread then that is your choice. I would appreciate that you do not get involved in my discussion with ravkaur444. I would like to hear what she says on my questions .

Read the letter my dear. She read the letter and u didn't.

Okay, I'll put it a different way. Take your story that does not apply here somewhere else. You have no clue what you are saying here. Let ravkaur444 answer the questions. Some people just don't know when to stop.

Be polite my dear, U put a very uncomfortable question

I'm ask you two more questions and I would request that no one take on answering these questions until ravkaur44 answers them. Here are the questions: From what you have learned and what your understanding is, when does Gurbani die and What or who is the Guru of the Sikhs?

The answer to ur first question when does gurbani die.

Take your story that does not apply here somewhere else. You have no clue what you are saying here. Let ravkaur444 answer the questions. Some people just don't know when to stop.

It doesn't sound like gursikh is putting forward a point.

The second answer is rather more simple to answer and more complicated to understand. Who was guru of GURU NANAK JI. When u forget the teaching of your guru the gurbani is dead.

If you don't like the answer please be polite to differ.

Have you seen how no one has answered the questions i presented as I asked members not to until ravkaur444 answers them. They showed total respect. I can respect that. But you have not showed one ounce of respect by ignoring me twice. Which shows you want respect from others, but don't want to show others respect. Therefore, you don't deserve any respect.

You have nothing virtues to add to this discussion and are hung up on some fake story that does not apply here. And I don't care how long it took you or someone else to write it. It simply does not apply here. Take your fake story somewhere else.

This is the last time I will write to your arrogant self on this thread. A child hopped up on sugar shows more respect than you.

    • yeh it's true, we shouldn't be lazy and need to learn jhatka shikaar. It doesn't help some of grew up in surrounding areas like Slough and Southall where everyone thought it was super bad for amrit dharis to eat meat, and they were following Sant babas and jathas, and instead the Singhs should have been normalising jhatka just like the recent world war soldiers did. We are trying to rectifiy this and khalsa should learn jhatka.  But I am just writing about bhog for those that are still learning rehit. As I explained, there are all these negative influences in the panth that talk against rehit, but this shouldn't deter us from taking khanda pahul, no matter what level of rehit we are!
    • How is it going to help? The link is of a Sikh hunter. Fine, but what good does that do the lazy Sikh who ate khulla maas in a restaurant? By the way, for the OP, yes, it's against rehit to eat khulla maas.
    • Yeah, Sikhs should do bhog of food they eat. But the point of bhog is to only do bhog of food which is fit to be presented to Maharaj. It's not maryada to do bhog of khulla maas and pretend it's OK to eat. It's not. Come on, bro, you should know better than to bring this Sakhi into it. Is this Sikh in the restaurant accompanied by Guru Gobind Singh ji? Is he fighting a dharam yudh? Or is he merely filling his belly with the nearest restaurant?  Please don't make a mockery of our puratan Singhs' sacrifices by comparing them to lazy Sikhs who eat khulla maas.
    • Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
    • Instead of a 9 inch or larger kirpan, take a smaller kirpan and put it (without gatra) inside your smaller turban and tie the turban tightly. This keeps a kirpan on your person without interfering with the massage or alarming the masseuse. I'm not talking about a trinket but rather an actual small kirpan that fits in a sheath (you'll have to search to find one). As for ahem, "problems", you could get a male masseuse. I don't know where you are, but in most places there are professional masseuses who actually know what they are doing and can really relieve your muscle pains.
