Recently, daas has started a Sava Lakh (125,000) Paath and also does a 1111 Jaap from time to time. Meaning that most of the day, due to jaap and Nitnem along with more Bani i'm using my voice, and throat a lot of the day.

Often, by the afternoon my throat is fairly sore and even my cheeks get fatigued. I know it's not that serious but it's a bit off putting then to recite more Paath, as i'm not there yet to recite it in my head and talking more just hurts, especially when your talking continuously for hours.

Does this subside with time? any remedies or tips?

Thanks

you could try just moving the tongue and mouth but not using your voice. or doing it silently in your mind. if concentration is a problem try switching between these so you can rest your voice. you can also google methods used by opera singers to keep their voice in good condition and adopt some of those methods.

Whole point of sava lakh patth is to first start with jaap(Audible) as birthi/surti becomes more subtle and subtle, one starts doing sava lakh patt with mind instead of doing with tongue, moving towards ajapa jap avastha.

If your throat start hurting, then i suggest you start doing sava lakh patt with mind (reading it internally within mind).

Chalisa for 40 days (although not mandatory but recommended) also helps one do sava lakh patt. Chalisa for 40 days have very strict maryada, you can read more about it from sant jagjit singh harkhowale- books soceity of saints/bhannu parkash/sohail parkash.

Whole point of chalisa as well to set jaigaso in a strict discipline routine and strict abhyaas.

Thanks for the quick replies, it's getting easier to read paath in my head as i go along but not enough to be able to do so continuously. Usually i start at out aloud for about a thousand jaaps, then after that i can do the jaap in my head. it's just a sore throat is so irritating lol.
