I was wondering if it is deemed ok to fasten the speed of nitnem when your listening to it? I feel that if it is slow my concentration tends to go quite quickly, any views? I can change it by just increasing the tempo using a music program

Not really an issue, as long as what you say holds true, and you're not just tryin to "get it done". Only you and Guruji will know, so just be honest with yourself. Just try make sure the extra time you have from doing nitnem quickly that you recite more Bani's.
